Anyone that believes we can impact the climatology of this planet needs to be placed in the middle of the ocean on a vessel, clear night, to ponder just how tiny and irrelevant they are. And if that has no effect, they need to be on the same vessel in the same ocean, in the middle of a storm. Jon

Alright...we finally got to shoot this thing! Fixed power at 3x, comes with flip-up lens covers and a sunshade. At first it looked a bit NcStar-y to me but, after adjusting the focus, that went away and we were left with a crisp, bright, clear image in the little scope. Shooting late this morning, we didn't need to turn on the red-or-green lighted ranging reticle. The reticle is darn nice! I want one now. Jon

Alright! Made it to the range with the ACR owner. He had PMC and Independence 55gr FMJ .223, and HSM 55gr JSP .223 ammo. Started off with the MBUS the rifle came with. The 1/9 twist stabilized these just fine, though none of it was match ammo. Once we got the sights dialed in, we mounted the Burris 332 and got it dialed in. One major problem with the Burris...now I need one. Once we had everything zeroed, he shot the hell out of everything! I may also need an ACR. Jon

I honestly have no experience behind a rifle with a 6-24xAnything. From just looking at display models they seem a bit overkill to me. Most sniping in recorded history has been done with much less than 24x magnification. Jon

Very nice of him! Their XTR line of tactical scopes are supposed to be pretty good. 4-16x50mm if you're looking at longer ranges. They also have the 1.5-6x40mm with the 7.62 lighted reticle. My friend has a Fullfield Tactical he is very happy with also. Jon

Ha! When it said "anti-tailgate" tool, I thought it was gonna be a smoke screen or oil slick. Was riding down by the UofA one day, mid-day rush hour...which SUCKS by the university. Office people rushing to lunch, kids rushing to classes, lots of wrecks. A city bus going the other direction made a loud BANG!! sound, immediately blowing out a screen of smoke impossible to see through and it was blowing across the lanes I was travelling. Punched it, made it just in front of the cloud and ALL traffice both directions stopped. That could be useful. Wasn't expecting the flames. Jon

How sturdy and how stout is that laser? Would you be able to conduct one-handed slide racking with only that sight assembly? Jon

That's one reason I'm hesitant to get a suppressor for a .22 rifle. With several brands of "quiet" ammo, my manual-action .22s are quieter than pellet rifles. Jon
