  1. We made these little aluminum plates at one shop, a heat sink of some sort for electronics, about 2"x 2". After we machined them we had to send them out to get them anodized. One edge needed to remain naked aluminum. The plating shop said they had to mask that one edge, to ensure it was done properly. The whole process was something like $6/plate with the masking. It was like $0.25 per plate without the masking. We just had the whole things plated then did a finish cut of 0.001" to remove the anodizing off that one edge...took more time to mount it in the jig than to cut it. I bet Nemo is masking that off, hence the price. Jon
  2. I worked for this lady that had pet horses...take her out to her ranch twice a day and feed the dogs and horses. About once a month we would get a hay shipment. At one point the rabbit population was so high that when the hay would be delivered in the morning, looking like a large block structure, by the time we got out for the afternoon feeding the hay would be rounded off on all the edges and corners. We'd come pulling up and rabbits would go flying off the hay stack in a couple of hundred different directions. One guy put one of the Crosman pump-up target pellet pistols in the trunk with some pellets. After a few got killed the rabbits soon learned they could sit at about 50' and watch the pellets tumble up. I put a Daisey pump-up rifle in the car trunk with some flat point wad cutter pellets. The rabbits moved out to about 100', same thing...watch the pellets tumble up to them. Then I went and got some of the pointy "magnum" pellets, which the shooter could lob as far as you could see a rabbit. Everyone started averaging around 5 rabbits per trip. A few of us would hunt rabbits while the lady watched her horses. The dogs ate good for a couple of months. Jon
  3. Drew...man...why you harshing on my cashflow dude. Dang. Jon
  4. No crap. Was trying to get my pitbull to get a rabbit that was laying frozen under a creosote bush...practically had to shove his nose on it. Finally it went from frozen to full-speed. After he startled straight up in the air, he did a Bugs Bunny burnout until his feet finally got traction...by that time the rabbit was 30 yards away. Jon
  5. Falling? That's the feel of the paper getting hot, as it changes from green and white to brown to black, as it bursts into flames scorching a hole in my pocket! The front pocket too! Jon
  6. My buddy had one of the old diesel Scout IIs...thing was a TANK! Get it Tom! Jon
  7. Dang dude! 115*...you're lucky that tequila didn't explode! jon
  8. Quit buying?! Dang...I just started on the little ones a couple of months before CT crap. This is only the beginning. Jon
  9. Stupid prices are the only reason I'm looking at them now. And their prices are 2 or 3 times what they were before stupid started. Jon
  10. Any word on snow? Jon
  11. Good find! Jon
  12. Alright you AR gurus, what's true and what isn't? I know that some of the Plum Crazy builders had some issues. Now there appears to be a plethora ("Sí El Jefé...a plethora!") of polymer AR15-style lowers available...New Frontier, ATI Omni, FMK Patriot. Are any worth your money? Any would wouldn't take if someone gave it to you? What are your personal experiences with them? Jon
  13. For what brand? Jon

  18. Nnooooo!!! Oh, what's that? Jon
  19. Ok guys... My buddy was at home and his wife told him to go out and "get some of those pills that give you an erection!" So he ran up to the drug store, came back and handed her some diet pills. Anyway, who has a spare room or couch? Jon
  20. I have a buddy whose shoulder used to bug him a little bit occasionally. Until he got a Marlin Guide Gun in .45-70...then it bothered him all the time, until he had surgery. Jon
  21. Installing brakes is always more fun in 8" of snow. Jon
  22. I missed him in the '70s but saw him in the '90s. Way back he refused to headline concerts and would put on a supremely high-energy show! Many a great band has been booed off stage so Ted could do an encore. Pretty hard to follow a long-haired hippy jumping off an amp stack, while shooting a flaming arrow into an exploding target! Jon
  23. Yup. Already expressed my bewonderment here: Jon
  24. I'm telling you guys...we need to get him over for the annual shoot! Jon
  25. Yup. For my purposes, if they get used they get confiscated. No sense in losing a $$$ knife. Jon
