  1. I know already! We already got the stainless one. Maybe I can go shoot it this weekend. Jon
  2. Let's hope the "Your bore needs to be fouled to shoot accurately" crowd is incorrect. :o Jon
  3. Do they come in stainless? <dontknow> Jon
  4. Nope, bat poop happy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VM8Df0NjEGo Jon
  5. Got the XDm 3.8 in .45ACP...it is serving me well thus far! Jon
  6. I'm batpoop happy with the 4-16x50mm PST I just got! I think you'll like it! Jon
  7. Right on Tim! I never thought it would be anything less than 100%. Looks like I have to get one so I can wear a Speedo to our next shootmeet! <thumbsup> Jon
  8. That's funny shepp! I know a couple that had two HUGE dogs that ruled the roost. They came home from work one day to find that the dogs had pillaged BOTH chickens that were thawing in the sink for dinner. Got that hell mess cleaned up, went to change and BOTH dogs had (after scarfing half-thawed raw chickens) proceeded to power puke all over the water bed. <lmao> Our dog tore up her own bed, to thousands of little pieces...so now she sleeps on the floor until she's more grown up. Jon
  9. We had items similar to those SL6s in corrections, plus the older single shots. Of the two, I preferred the singles due to the drills we ran. Load gas, reload with knee-knockers, reload gas. Just get an indiscriminatory belt-fed gun and screw 'em all! Jon
  10. The 1908s, 1903s, Brownings in the same era, I've often wondered "With the Wild Bunch shooting taking off as it has, why isn't someone making high-quality replicas on CNC?" Look at what cowboy action shooting has done for single-action revolvers. Jon
  11. Is that the Outlaw Grips you were talking about? Got their card long ago but have never needed grips since then. Jon
  12. If there is something other than totally nude and fully clothed for ladies, I am WAY behind the game. Jon
  13. Are you running it wet with lubricant? Sloppy wet? Juicy oiled buffer tube? Jon
  14. Don't know how I missed this thread. I'm not a big proponent of shotguns for home protection in any densely populated areas. Pistols with the new genre of personal protection ammunition is, IMO, ideal for urban/densely populated 'hoods. Make sure you can hit your target under stress. The myths that abound about shotguns and shotgunnery border on ridiculous. As Kelly already stated, to rely on the sound scaring off a naked dude on meth who already pulled off his own penis, is asking a bit much. Completely irksome is the "Shotguns don't have to be aimed, just point it in their general direction and the targets torso magically separates from their hips." Just remember when that single unaccounted for 00 pellet strikes your neighbor's sleeping kid in their room vegitizing them for life, you own it. For life. Enjoy the endless lawsuits, garnered wages, and public notoriety. There was a shootout locally a couple of decades ago. Bad guy in a crop field with a .30-06 pump, officers with shotguns and handguns. Shotguns were issued with buckshot. From what I understand it is somewhat disheartening to watch your shot roll up to the general area where the bad guy is shooting from at you. (Perp was hit by the officer shooting the handgun, about 150 yard shot). My buddy carried only slugs after that. If you live rural, have at it...but it is going to be loaded like we did at the prison, minus the birdshot. Buck, buck, buck, slug, slug, slug, slug. That is if I don't get the rifle to begin with. Jon
  15. Howdy from AZ Jim! Jon
  16. Welcome from AZ adpdesigns! Jon
  17. There is a thread on another forum about 10mm's launching brass into the next county. <thumbsup> One buddy I shoot with, no matter what I'm shooting, I stand so the brass rains on him. He deserves it. Jon
  18. I've got 3 XDm .45s. The 5.25 "match" version comes with the same trigger as the other XDms. So I put a Powder River Precision trigger kit in it. It now breaks clean at about 3.5#s, with very very little take up and almost no overtravel (overtravel stops are molded into the PRP triggers). It is as good or better than the triggers that come stock on Kimbers and Springfields in the $1500-2000 range. Tom...thumb safety? Really? What have you been rubbing on that mangina? <lmao> If you want a 1911 get (another) one. They make them in plastic now too. Jon
  19. Nope...but they are sure getting rave reviews! Ideally I would like them to come out with a 4.25" barrel version with a 7- or 8-round magazine. That would be tha shazizzle! Jon
  20. Fingers inside machines aren't a good combination. Worked with a guy that lost most of a finger in a lathe when someone jokingly hit the jog button on his lathe, while he was trying to fix it. I don't even like sticking my fingers into firearms for a round check. My 'tarded older brother got a pair of industrial hedgers all gummed up (which I loaned him). So he oiled up the bar that would cut 1" branches, went full throttle...nothing. So he pushed on the blade with his thumb. <laughs> Be careful Edge! Jon
  21. <lmao> You guys are some funny wankers! His spot wasn't any bigger at breakfast. His hat sure sat back a lot farther though. <laughs> Jon
  22. They sell the extended mags now. Only a couple have been reported to have come with one extended and one 5-rounder. Tom white? All that sand prolly blasted the color off him! Jon
  23. No doubt! They are a HUGE weight savings over the metal mags...unbelievable! I had to file on mine to clear the bolt carrier with the last round...makes me think I know whats wrong with a couple of metal mags now too. Jon
  24. "The .380 was a cute fad...now let's get serious!" Yeah...you don't need an XD-s. Especially when they aren't even shipping with one 7-round mag yet so you can get a full grip. Not like those pinky-hooking mag extensions are any good. Who wants a .45 caliber thumpity-thump that you can fit in a short's pocket in AZ in the summer time? <lmao> Jon
  25. Finally!! <laughs> Jon
