  1. I heard she had a double hip replacement but is now playing Cinderella, trying to find the fella the strap fits. <lmao> Jon
  2. 20 Pmags, scope mounting kit, ammo, parts. Jon
  3. Yeah...you don't want trading fodder for the coming collapse. Jon
  4. Was that you saying "Joan Collins was HOT when she was old and posed naked for Playboy but you know what? I really want to see Penthouse do a lez thing with Feinstein and Pelosi!" Made me ill dude. Jon
  5. Better order two then Tom! <laughs> Never know when you'll need another. And another! Hell, three is all you need! <lmao> Jon
  6. Thanks Rene! Ok...battery works fine. Apparently on Vortex PSTs you need to use a penny to CRANK that battery lid down! No NcStar crap here. The lid has an o-ring around the outer edge for a seal and a rubber washer type ring about this big >o< in the center of it. Apparently that needs to be squashola-ed compressed to maintain constant contact. It works very well in the city dark of our neighborhood. Was watching palm frawns flutter in the wind. It will be in bed with me tonight. When the dark gets scary, the reticle will come on to comfort me. Jon
  7. Nope rene...it was $312 for the AA battery plain, the NV models were higher but still 20% off their prices. I can live w/o NV...got one on the way! Jon
  8. I'm ssssoooooooo glad I didn't open that first link. Jon
  9. The bikini scope cover is one of the see-thru types. And the battery was close to dead, and I've killed it in less than 5 minutes (I hope). Of course the scope has that wonderful unconditional guarantee, so if there is an issue I can send it back no issues. The FFP is f-awesome! Was scoping some doves out at about 150 yards, cranked it from 4x up to the 16x...very clear. As good or better than the Leupold Vari-X Tactical I had, and it only went to 12x. I'll check it out in the dark for clarity in a few hours. Jon
  10. <thumbsup> Jon
  11. Sweet Guill! That is a SCREAMING deal! Jon
  12. Bah! The media has a role in it but the GOP has a long-standing tradition of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Bob Dole, Bush Uno, John McCain. The GOP could have had 12-15 million additional votes, if they hadn't hosed over all the Ron Paul and Johnson supporters at the national convention. The very democrat-style prescripted rule changes tells me they are telling us "It is our way or the highway." This was the last time they got my support, especially after more AZ GOP shenanigans. Just hung up on one right now, soliciting funds. Jon
  13. Not putting any faith in the daily zodiac here, but I do believe that things can be garnered from watching the heavens. Right now Saturn (said by some to represent Satan or evil in general) is in the constellation of Virgo (the virgin), and set to leave December 22, 2012. For a very brief period of a few days, Saturn will again pass through Virgo in March of 2013. Hhmmm... Jon
  14. That's an understatement, Tom. We have two possibilities before us...the ®s will fight tooth and nail to stop them in their tracks, or we will see bipartisanship to strip us of rights like we've never thought possible nor seen before. Jon
  15. It just got real! Lock-N-Load men! And women too! Jon
  16. It was called this morning by MSNBC and CBS over two weeks ago. <dontknow> Jon
  17. I don't own an Armalite but I do own the Rock Rivers. <laughs> Other than that, not much. Jon
  18. Welcome from AZ and a RRA owner of two of their Operators...a 16" and a 20". Just got done trimming new polymer mags and stuffing them full (only 15). The worldwide availability of the FAL mags is what sold me on RRA. Very (100%) reliable, very accurate. Keep an eye open for when folks on Gunbroker have NIB in STOCK, and hit the Buy It Now! Jon
  19. Yeah, the central component for launching projectiles long distance. I already got that! And the working rifle! It's about hitting gnats on the target my main man! Gaaawwwww!! Jon
  20. Ordered a buttload of this stuff on strippers, in cans. So the ladies have some pills to put in their thus-far unordered P-mags. How do you like this for everyday plinking stuff? Jon
  21. "Vaya con Dioooooooooooooooooosssssss"<WHUMPbumpskittersliiiiide, cloud of dust rising up> "Aye! The portal did not open señor!" <laughs> Jon
  22. Back when I had my FFL selling guns was cool but fixing them was WAY cooler. These days though, most LGS staff/owners have no clue about making firearms work. Tom has it right with employees having "that deer in the headlight look". Call them on anything, ANYTHING, you know to be a fact when they are spewing sales bullpoopy and you will see them freeze. From the stupid almighty "Pump-shotguns/revolvers never jam," to the dunce-oid sexist "Snub-nose revolvers are good, simple guns for women." I'd bet the lunch Tom owes me at La Casita 93 out of 101 gun sales people can't shoot a snub-nose revolver for poop. Talk to most people ready to fill out paperwork for SS and many will tell you "The only really reliable rifle is a bolt-action," or if they had wood-and-steel semi-auto military experience "ARs aren't reliable because they crap where they eat!" Find someone that, when you ask them a question, replies with either "I don't know but I can find out," or "Do you really want to know?" If any of their answers to your questions start with "Everybody knows..." or sounds like "My brother's friend's room mate's uncle's janitor, who is a veteran, says..." Don't let Tom's beratement get you down. Meet his challenge! Jon
  23. I was talking with an instructor of mine about how Samurai used horses in so many different ways as weapons. Brilliantly sick fuckers. He asked "Wasn't it cool how they used elephants?" (your horking down on elephants reminded me Tom) I asked "You mean like Hannibal crossing the Alps?" He then regaled me with how Asians used them like calvary horses, with specialties. The best was training them to execute someone by stepping on their head, placed on a stump. There isn't anything you can't eat around here, except perhaps the brown spiders. Though some you wouldn't be too keen on eating. :o Jon
  24. Oh I understand if there is "delivery time" if it has to be built. Mine was in stock. And shipped. Apparently via China on sailing boat. Busca le! Jon
  25. I bought a RRA Operator LAR-8 for about $1400 shipped. Liked it so much, sold some stuff and got the LAR-8 Elite Operator for about the same price. Maybe not "decent" like Colt, LaRue, LMT, etc., but it shoots, shoots accurately and well, and I've not had an issue with them. Others will tell you about ordering RRA and having long wait times. Just get it if it is in stock, like me. You can also get an A3 or A4 style from RRA or Armalite for a street price of $1300 or less, with DPMS or Bushmaster coming in lower than that with some models. You may have to tinker some with the "indecent" models but lots of folks here swear by them. Jon
