I think maybe 93 out of that 100 is willing to stand shoulder-to-shoulder and fight. I also think that 100 out of 100 no one is willing to fire the first shot against tyranny. Maybe one out of 10,000 is willing to go first. JeffreyC got it right...3% fought in the Revolution. If 3% fight this time around, that is 10 or 11 million! What will UN nations be willing to send in? After round one that makes Iraq, Kosovo, and Afghanistan look like a walk in the kiddy pool, they'll throw in the towel. Jon

Thanks Spaniky! Is that what looks to be about a 1" section up against the rear of the lower receiver? Unforgiven! You're allowed to have weapons in the kitchen and on the counter? Jon

What do you have on order or in the mail?

Looks like we're all getting slings for Christmas! Jon -
Why is everyone worried about the USA honoring this treaty? American Indians aren't worried about it. <laughs> :hornet: Jon

How are you storing your brass - new or once fired?

Nice 392! I just bought a kit from Neco to do my own moly coating...their system is a whole sight better than the push-n-squish moly the others use. http://www.neconos.com/category/Moly-Plating-5 Gonna get a side-tumbling tumbler to go with it. I suppose if you give me gas money I could take that 200#s of lead off your hands. ;) Jon -
Sweet Spaniky! How is that PRS working for you? MagPul's website says "not compatible with RRA LAR-8". I would like one of those. Jon

Accurate out to 15 or 20 yards or more. So quiet out of a rifle that the sounds of the firing pin is louder than the shot, the sound of the bullet impacting the target being many times louder. Them and the CCI CB series make me wonder why anyone would put a suppressor on a rimfire rifle. :cookoo: Jon

Lucas's "yes men" were telling him to dump Jar-Jar near the start of production. If that stupid character hadn't been in the movie at all it may have allowed me to pretend that kid could portray Annikan well. Jon

It is a contentious subject, with those that claim cryogenic treatment does little or nothing screaming it is a waste of time/money. I do know this...firearms that are treated cryogenically by the manufacturer are often considered to be more accurate off-the-shelf by the shooting public, than those that are not treated. Someone locally will treat your firearm for like $80...not bad if there is a benefit. Jon

Not me...where is it? <munch> Jon

For personal use (as opposed to teaching use) we got several varieties of "quiet" .22 ammo to play with...should be downright silent out of the old Steven's bolt action and the Winchester 67C. We have some of the Aguila Super Colibri, the CCI Quiet, CCI CB Shorts and Longs, CCI Green, Remington Subsonic (still pretty damn loud). For teaching we have the Remington Golden Duds (yeah, I know), and a bunch of Federal American Eagle. I think I'll use the later for the Appleseed this October. Jon

Well, yeah, for the first few thousand rounds of ammo. Then I'm back to Ziplocks for the loaded ammo too. <laughs> Little tip...if the pills are lead and have any sort of wax type lube, those go in the boxes. In the bags in the AZ heat, those lubed rounds are oilyer than a swingers convention in the Carribean. The freezer bags are stronger too. <lmao> Jon -
Looking for a good hunting scope...

For 300 yards on deer, I would suggest the Redfield 2-7x33 Revolution. They are made in Oregon by Leupold. My buddy has one on an Encore in .444 Marlin...they will handle the recoil. They also have a modest ranging reticle that would serve you well out to 300 yards. I got mine for less than this is advertised: http://www.opticsplanet.com/redfield-revolution-2-7x33mm-riflescope-matte-finish-4-plex-accu-range-reticle.html Jon -
When I was scope shopping, couldn't figure out why some Monarchs were twice as much as others, as dipwads on GB were just advertising them as "Nikon Monarchs". Once I realized there were 1" tube Monarchs and 30mm tube Monarch Golds, I shopped a bit more. That will probably be my choice when I replace the Redfield on the Freedom Machine. Wonder if anyone will trade me a 30mm Nikon 223 mount for a 1"... Jon

Good job Vlad! That should hold you for a week or two. Jon

Welcome IndustrialRescue! That looks like a good platform! So is your handle from like mine rescues or something else? Jon

Questionnaire for a possible new business....

1- Personally I run the whole gamut of shooting, from single-action revolvers to AR-type rifles and combat shotguns, so anything and everything. 2- When going to make a purchase I have already educated myself about what I want, so price makes the difference more than anything to me. The biggest turnoff about any retailer is opinionated jackwads that spew forth ignorant garbage that benefits nobody. Quality customer service is a huge plus. 3- As above, lowest price for a given product, coupled with knowledgable sales people and great customer service. 4- Per my answer to #1, you are going to have to have a very large selection. My suggestion would be start with the most common and popular accessories and expand from there. 5- Is the sale of firearms somehow unacceptable? Jon -
True Tom... But if you jump to the Monarch Gold, you get a 30mm tube and double the M308's internal adjustment to 80MOA, with the 2.5-10x magnification. 2.5 is great for acquisition, 10 is plenty to focus in. Jon

Living in the desert, I just keep them in whatever bag or box I pick them up in until it is time to tumble them. No issues yet. Jon -
Funny...I don't recall Turnbull working on ARs either. Jon

I was once talking to a woman about New Mexico and she starts in with "Did you see where they found all those bodies?" Took me five minutes to realize she was talking about Me-hee-co and not New Mexico. Apparently asking her "You do realize that you are talking about Mexico the country and I'm talking about New Mexico the state next door, right?" was offensive to her ignorance. Jon

I have a 512 on the Liberty. It whomps ass with the 65MOA circle-dot setup! While we don't have an Aimpoint, we have a number of chinese red dot sights. One has multiple reticle choices. Of all of them I prefer the circle-dot setup. Jon
-
For those purposes, get a lower power scope...like a 1-4x or so. Also, as brother unforgiven said, a red dot of some sort is good. I have a 2-7x32 Redfield on the 20" RRA Freedom Machine and an Eotech on the 16" RRA Liberty. While I haven't tried it on coyotes yet, the Eotech is mighty fast to engage multiple targets! Jon

The jiggy is up there laddy! For all practical purposes the feds have declared a cold-war upon the free border states (sorry Cali), and any others that have high "Washington D.C. can kiss my hairy dingleberried ass" states too. I say just fine. I hope they punish Arizona by pulling out all federal agencies and withhold all "help". Jon

Edge I've had people ask me how hard it is to cross the border into New Mexico. Blame it on public education or whatnot. If I just had money rolling in from somewhere I'd move to Lincoln County. Jon
