  1. I've never used any but can see where they may be beneficial. The only time I wore gloves ALL the time was riding motorcycles. For shooting, IMO, they would have to be some high-quality second-skin type fitting gloves. Jon
  2. Won't let me open the link but cool! Good to have an understanding wife, isn't it? Jon
  3. Welcome from AZ preeze! Jon
  4. Welcome basenji! Glad to know they are finally shipping. I've cooled off on them for now. Still...that precision marksman... Jon
  5. Dusty, does that work with the Remington Golden Duds? I quite buying them, was having 20% failure rate, regardless of the gun. Jon
  6. Cool Rhino55! I'm looking to get a couple of stand-alone desktops, with the mill a CNC jobber. Ever look at Taig/Micro Proto? Jon
  7. Howdy sgtspike! Jon
  8. Good work, Horsemen! Now that the jig is done, you should make a few more to pay for your effort. Jon
  9. A couple of decades ago there was an article on "miniature sniping", shooting stuff like plastic green army men in your backyard, with an air rifle. Work out the scale of the tin soldier to a human, then however far they are from your muzzle, use the same scale for your pretend distance. Oz, those are some nice air guns! My top o' the line airgun is a Benjamin...old school but it works! I would like one of the lever replicas with the air resevoir and magazine. Something like 60 shots from a tank, .22 caliber scooting along at 1,000fps. Jon
  10. I think the best gun sites I belong to are also the worst. Brownell's, MidwayUSA, Sportsman's Guide, Cheaper Than Dirt, etc. They send me cool stuff...but they want MONEY. :cookoo: Jon
  11. Yup...lost bunches of guns. "Hey, can you take over my FFL for me? You won't get in any trouble." Jon
  12. Welcome from AZ, Rhino55! What type of lathe are you running? Used to have a Granite 1324XL. It would hold to .001" easily for any lathe work. Jon
  13. Welcome AAC762! Jon
  14. Boominidiot, er, Bloomberg planned it that way. Jon
  15. Wow...another lost post. <dontknow> I'd sure have a LOT more done if I didn't visit so many. Jon
  16. Wow. Looks like my whole post on this got lost with the black. Why "AW"s? Because that was their successful "divide-and-conquer" technique last time. Black rifles are way, WAY too prolific this time around. People that don't even shoot have been buying them. Anti-gunners have been proven wrong time and time again...it is almost getting boring to watch their predicitons of "shoot-outs over tampon sales" fail time and time again. The reality is even those who aren't "gunnies" know that it isn't about the guns. It is about the control. Jon
  17. Yup. There's aircraft related sites too! Jon
  18. Wait wait, wait a minute! You're saying, in California, a magazine release must be of an approved type?!? <laughs> <lmao> I'm understanding more how folks like Pelosi and Boxer get elected. Jon
  19. Welcome from AZ Macguyver! Jon
  20. The former head of Bushmaster has opened Windham Arms, using original tooling and original employees of Bushmaster (the name falling now under the Freedom Group/Cerberus banner). No .308 YET but I'm hoping! I really, really liked my original Bushie Dissapator! Jon
  21. Yeah he is. He's the guy I got all my instructor certs from, and helped him to revamp Southern AZ Firearms Educators (S.A.F.E.), along with a bunch of other instructors. FWIW, the local GOP requested that Chester NOT hold machinegun shoots for fundraisers, as that could be seen as "insensitive". He told them "It is a legal activity, being conducted by law-abiding citizens. Are you sure you're not in the wrong party?" <thumbsup> Jon
  22. Hijacking alert! When I still worked at the prison, this big ox of an officer worked the detention unit on graves. One night, every time he did his H&W checks, these inmates would get his attention and ask the time. He'd tell them and they would laugh. Finally, about 0300, he got tired of the game and keyed the cell open. Did a quick search and couldn't find anything. When he turned to go out he found the reason. The inmates had figured out how tall he was, then drew Bullwinkle antlers on either side of the window on the door with a Sharpie. Every time the officer stuck his head in the window, he had antlers. Got to admit...that was a good one. Jon
  23. Rhinegarten, sorry bro...just got back. <thumbsup> Sighted in the Eotech and MBUS on Liberty. Only took a few rounds to get on, five mags to make sure. <laughs> I'll let you know the next time! Jon
  24. RRA deer are good too. <laughs> 'Course, I've never had dealer...prolly tastes like chicken! <lmao> Jon
  25. What about a woman? That sucks pretty hard too. Especially if she's off suckin' with someone else. Jon
