  1. Keep it up smart ass. I'll have him show up in your kitchen late at night. Beside Tom hiding inside your fridge.
  2. Same as if you're sitting at the poker table and wondering who the patsy is. If you're wondering.......then it's probably you. <laughs>

  4. Well ladies. It's been a while since I updated on this topic. But I finally got my $hit together and pieced my 10 SBR back together. Yes, I know.....it seems like it's been quite some time since I was bitching about the other rail letting go. But HEY! $hit's been fuked up for me the last couple of months since my work (read as real job) has been in a downward spiral. Anyway, I finally got around to putting my girl back together. And yes..........she's the love of my life (well.......maybe she's a close second.....or it's tie). Well...for those of you just joining us from some other previous program. I'll give a brief re-cap. Pull the covers up and get ready for the story. I built this downright SEXY lil thing a couple of years ago. And she was almost perfect. Ever since I learned of the Leonidas project on the Noveske website, I was determined that I'd build one. For those that may not know, Noveske patterned their N6 platform off of the Armalite 10B specs. Well, for those of you that know me....that was already a winning combination (after all......I am the Armalite pusher). Check that box. We all know that Noveske makes high quality AR components. Check that box too. They also make exceptional barrels in satin stainless. Check that box also. Well.......you marry all of this man-made, machined goodness together and you end up with one totally BAD-ASSED rifle. All it is, is pure unadulterated SEX. So, I built this sex machine (said like James Brown), and the only proper part that I was missing was the rail system. At the time, the (SWS made) rail for a true Leonidas was almost impossible to find. So, I threw it out here to my brothers to help come up with an idea for a work-around. My man Edgecrusher (Greg) found almost the perfect substitute for the Noveske rail. The perfect length and look that I was going for since I couldn't find the "proper" rail. My hat's still off to you brother. You found that thing damn near instantly. So, I bought that rail from Ranier. Unfortunately, it wasn't too long before the rail physically broke at it's weakest point. An attachment pin on the bottom of it that locked it into place. Now I won't bash Ranier on this. The rail was made for them by a 3rd party. I emailed Rainer and their customer service was second to none. I threw a couple of pics their way of the weak section that had let go, and they sent me out replacement parts in a very timely manner. All was good in the world. So, flash forward about a year (or so). Out at the range one day, the rail broke again in the EXACT same spot. Needless to say, that pissed me off to no end. I came back home.....got on the board here....and was ranting and raving as I was still seeing red from the damn thing letting go for a second time in the exact same place. Once again.....no fault of Ranier......the rail was made for them by a 3rd party. Apparently it just couldn't stand the pounding that an AR-10 can dish out. But this time.....I was done. Promptly pulled the rail off and crushed it in a vice......just to make myself feel good. I didn't care about the cost at that point. It was time to look for another alternative. And that was when I remembered another brother posting (from months before that) that he had the exact Noveske rail that I was looking for. A big "Thank You" to geistacwm (Matthew) for still having it, and letting me get it off of him. He was also cool enough to send the proprietary nut wrench along with it. Which since, I've bought my own, cause you never know if you're gonna have to pull the barrel for some damn reason. But that was still very cool of him to offer it up like that. So here she is ladies....completely assembled again. Too early for pics with the SDN6 on her at this time. The Rocksett is still setting up.
  5. I'll never understand why people want to know what the "super rich" are up to in this world. I could give a rats-ass what the "super rich" are doing. CNBC is suppose to be for business/stock market news and information. That's what is was first started for anyway. And now.....you have nimrods like that guy just wasting away air-time.
  6. I agree with Planeflyer. Put the pins in a drill, or a drill-press and use emory cloth on them.
  7. Don't ever miss a good opportunity to kick a guy squarely in the balls. <laughs>
  8. Good job gunner. She looks good.
  9. Come on now...we just wrapped up the other one for memorial day. The teams need a little down time in between OPs. Besides....some of these jokers are family guys, and need/want a little time to see them. <laughs>
  10. Dumpy bars at closing time? <laughs>
  11. Welcome from MD Caddy.
  12. Welcome aboard Bob.
  13. You got her lookin good Tom. What? Another FDE rifle? <laughs> I'm shocked. Definitely interested in hearing your take on the whole extension/buffer headaches.
  14. Yep. Looks like he walked squarely into that. Sounds like somebody is getting a new bi-pod. <laughs>
  15. Welcome to the asylum Nathan. As you can see...the inmates are in complete control.
  16. The couple of Atlas bi-pods I've got came with the QC mounts already attached. I've also got a couple of Harris bi-pods which I don't have any complaints about either. They all work pretty nice. Now.....the Holy Grail of Bipods I have (courtesy of some of the brothers around here) is pretty fukin awesome. And it's only for one specific rifle (that I have at least) .
  17. 4 more slings, a shoulder holster (just because) and some GP pouches from BDS tactical. Damn I wish that they were a sponsor. <laughs>
  18. The C-47 rumbled along at a north by northeast vector. The entire company was TIRED. After all, we had done what nobody had ever thought was possible. The scale of the destruction would be talked about for years to come. Any of the 3 letter agencies, or other shortened acronym "teams" would have been proud to pull off what WE had just acomplished. The PERFECT extraction. Swoop in. Blow the living $hit out of the enemy. Swoop out. No losses. No casualties. Everything had just come together. And as we all know........you gotta love it when a plan comes together. Some of the members were sleeping. They deserved it. Others were still wired and wide awake......yet sitting silently, listening to the drone of the engines. A few, were just........staring. Not seeing anything. Just staring into nothingness......the blank wall of the inner fuselage.......or out a window into the passing black sky. The sound of the old radial engines were both mesmerizing and soothing all at once. Each member of the company was simply doing "his thing" to come down off of the complete adrenaline rush that they had just left behind. We all knew that it would take time for the feeling to wear off. AND.....We were all completely okay with it. From my position in the back of the craft, through the haze that still hung in the air, I made out the figure in the Co-pilot seat. Drew gave a slight point to the right. With that, the plane did a slow, lazy turn to due East. Then, the sound of the engines being fire-walled was all that you could hear. The aircraft sped off into the night. Flash forward. It had been a couple hours, and the aircraft was approching the Virginia/DC/Maryland border. (yeah, I know....we sped up time). All of the team members were up....wide awake....and ready. Everybody was preparing for the final phase of the plan. Each member going through thier own prep that they had practiced many times. Waiting. They knew that the OP was coming to completion. With that.....the plane turned hard to start it's way down the Potomac river. After all....commercial planes use the river as common guide for thier glide path. So we should look like a "ghost", or reflection on the air traffic controllers screens. Minutes ticked by as we made the approach. Once again, tucking down to "nap of the earth", or in this case....."nap of the river". We were ready! 0 Hour! At just the last possible moment, Planeflyer yanked up on the controls (damn near putting his feet on the dash). The craft gained just enough altitude to clear the trees that lined the riverbanks. He banked the plane hard to the right, then quickly stabilized it, all while yelling out "HERE WE GO!". Down beneath us......appeared concrete......just as was planned. Route 66 was beneath us. (that's a major route in and out of DC for those that don't know) The engines barked and backfired as the throttle was pulled back to almost zero. AND WE WENT IN! Jon SLAMMED the plane down onto the highway. Knowing that the craft was 1), not planned on being used once it was landed, and 2), needed to land quickly so that the teams could dispurse into the trees that lined the road. The landing gear straining under the vertical force, almost buckled........but somehow survived the harsh impact. Seconds now ticked by as the aircraft came to a screeching halt...as the sound of the props in full reverse pitch thundered in the still dark early morning. At the moment that the craft came to almost a full stop.....the team members came pouring out of the aircraft. There was no stopping any of us now. One after one, each member was diving out of the aircraft and moving away at almost a full on dead run. Within a minute.......the entire team (including pilot), had melted into the woods. The objective was at hand. All teams were in sync. Approximately 3 minutes later! Dawn was just breaking. All of the team members gathered. And we all walked out into a clearing from the trees and stood in front of the darkened (from time) bronze statue. Dirty. Tired. Bloody. We were all proud to be who and what we are. Every man stood and gazed upon the symbol for what we had done our duty for. For Servicemen.....LEO.....Civvies. All like minded indivduals. WE STAND PROUD! Drew, 98, Robo, Edge, Unforgiven, Stain, Hemi, DNP, Planeflyer, Blue, Shepp, Farkle, Zebra, Easy, Mikedaddy, Bubba, Sketch, SS, Wash, Matt, Adam, Shibi, Jtallen, Beach, Armed Eye Doc, Magwa and R2...................all looked proudly at the IWO JIMA Memorial. Then, moments later, turned in unison........and all gave a silent salute to all of our fallen brothers, as they gazed from the overlook onto Arlington National Cemetary. FAREWELL MY BROTHERS! SLEEP PEACEFULLY, AS YOUR WORK IS DONE! THANK YOU! Dawn was rising as the team dispursed. Everybody was now heading towards the extraction point. It was time to make a silent egress. The team would come together again. (maybe a July 4th OP) Enjoy your Memorial Day brothers! Guys like us bleed Red, White And Blue! I have nothing but respect for each, and every one of you. OOH-RAH!
  19. Once again. Stay tough Magwa (Mike). We need you.
  20. What happened to the 800? <lmao>
  21. Glad to see you're finally coming around to my side, brother. <laughs>
  22. What? Wiseasses around here? Say it ain't so. <laughs>
  23. Whaddaya saying? <lmao> 2? My god.......you'd hate me dude. <laughs>
  24. I concur. She looks pretty nice.
  25. Well......you did ask for "or something". Sounds like he was simply following instructions and improvised.
