I'd say take your time my man, and get the scope that you want for the rifle. My son and I threw the Nightforce NXS off of my AR10 SASS onto the MRAD over the holidays just so we could go and "try" and shoot it. I should have just thrown my wallet down range. It would have made the same difference. Didn't get any satisfaction, PLUS, now I'll have to re-zero the damn thing back on the SASS. That'll teach me to keep it in my pants until I can get the proper hardware next time. Oh, and we were using some Hornady 285 grain. They extracted just fine and the brass still looks in great condition.

I'll come out and say it for all of the guys here (new and old).......THIS PLACE ROCKS! And I guess that I'll be the taint if nobody else will. Hell......I've been called worse by blood relatives. I've got a 12.5" (Noveske barrel) on my AR10 SBR. It runs fine....even with the suppressor. She's not as "loud" as you would think she would be (running an AAC brakeout comp). As far as accuracy, she'll drill the center of a target. Now keep in mind, that I'm not looking for any kind of MOA with her. She's made for kicking in doors or shooting through them......not sniping. Just recently, while playing at 50 yards. She ate the s h i t out of the center of the target. Same at 100. Still, not one hole or cloverleaf type of accuracy. BUT, if it was human.......it wouldn't be anymore.

That's pretty odd. I've got thousands of rounds through my beater 10 carbine. And it's got a factory LPK. I've never seen anything like that with any of mine for that matter. I'll have to double check the thickness issue and do some comparisons with one of the 15's.

It's stories like this. This is why guys should always be allowed to have 20 round mags in their rifles (30 for AR-15's)...even while hunting. Just for personal protection. Granted, it sounds like this guy had a bow and a 22 pistol with him. And call me crazy. Why the Fcuk would you be in the woods with a 22? Even for you guys that can "shoot the eye out of a bird". In this kind of situation, being by yourself (true or not).....I wanna blow these fuckers up with a single shot and be able to move on to the next one.
