  1. The single tear runs down my cheek hearing that you'll have to suffer the night in the 40's. :'(
  2. Glad to see that you're concerned about saving me some shipping charges. <laughs>
  3. No, no, noooooo. No testiness here. I'll never say that anything that's man-made can't malfunction.
  4. Nahhh. Nowhere near grumpy yet.
  5. And don't be jealous that I'm thinking of a can for this thing before a pricey bipod Dirk. Can you all even have cans in Kali? Oh....that's right. The answer is NO. The atlas will work just fine for now.
  6. Bought some ammo already. Took the NXS off of the SASS to temporarily use it. Have an atlas bipod for use on it. Just have to get out there with it. Pretty much answer to all of your points made.
  7. I hear ya Mike. But I'm not setup for reloading yet. Something that I plan to get into this year.
  8. He said that he used different mags. So it's probably not a mag issue. I'd start by putting the stock buffer back in it and starting over. See exactly what she does.
  9. ^^^^ Me too. That's what I use on my SASS.
  10. ^^^^ Good question. As far as the block being up against the barrel shoulder. I built a 16" carbine using a PRI block. Didn't use any spacers and she runs just fine. But, the PRI blocks seem to have a good size port for collecting the gas, so that might be why? I've never had to polish any of my Armalite chambers.
  11. Another brother with an AR10 SASS? I LOVE IT!
  12. <laughs> <lmao> <laughs>
  13. Nope. Not playing the broke card. But there's other s h i t that has to happen in the 1st or 2nd quarter of this year too. As we all know.....we gotta spread the funds around to different projects and responsibilities. And trade down from ramen noodles? Hell, I already live like a caveman as it is. And you wanna take that one simple thing from me? <laughs>
  14. Bend over. I'll show you a bipod brother.
  15. No S H I T! You don't think I knew that the moment I saw the title of this thread? And just for the record. I DO think that bipod is badass. But let's all just pump the brakes for a minute and think about this. I still gotta get the glass I want. That's gonna be 2+. I'm already thinking about the AAC Titan can for it also. Another 2. Hell, the adaptor for the can cost 3 bills. So we're gonna go way past the 10 mark on this setup (if I go for the can that is) already. Granted......once you hit 10 for a rifle.........what's another 7 bills right? Hmmmmmmmmm? Oh....and Dirk........I still hate you brother. just sayin.
  16. 2 Magpul PRS stocks. 1 black for my SASS (gonna put the UBR over to carbine duty). 1 FDE for the SASS I'm gathering parts for.
  17. Dude. I just bought the Barrett last month. I need a little more time to recover. AND, the thing still needs it's own glass. And not an Elite Iron bipod.
  18. Aaahhhhhh.....yeeaaaaahhhhh. Did you actually think that you were gonna get a rise outta me with that (obviously uninformed) remark? You Rock River guys. Sheesh. What are we gonna do with you all? (no offense to my "other" brothers who may own RRA stuff)
  19. Now I sure hope that you're not gonna get in trouble for pulling photographic evidence of any perp's, that you did your patented flying tackle onto, just to put up on here. Besides....even if that was a younger Tom......there would still be at least a motorcycle (or two), even if in pieces, sitting in the picture.
  20. Yeah, I'm already getting used to it. It'll give me and Tom even more to "talk" (read as scheme) about.
  21. Just build it as if it was a DPMS patterned 308 and you'll be just fine. Plenty of parts to be found. Just keep looking for the decent deals. They pop up all the time. Oh, and welcome to the board sr and steele. Keep your eyes on some of these guys around here. They'll entice you to dump your retirement account just to build that next AR. <laughs>
  22. You gotta be creative in this world.
  23. Welcome aboard steele. I've got one of those BRO sets waiting to go together also. I like the way they look. At least mine seemed pretty well machined. Not in the biggest of hurries to push this build to the front of the line just yet though. I've got parts for other rifles (that don't include bipods) that I need to get ahold of first. Like sketch said though. Feel free to throw out any ideas that you have of parts you either have, or want to get. This crowd will help out in any way that we can...............in helping to empty your wallet that is.
  24. Oh great. You too?
