Believe it or not, I didn't order anything yesterday. But I did order the 500 rd. XM80C from PSA that Rene spotted out for us Wednesday.

I totally understand keeping with one pattern or the other. Makes keeping parts on hand easier.

Not necessarily a lost cause. Just got to be careful when gathering parts for it. I would also guess (yeah) that you're going to need to get an Armalite patterned barrel.......maybe. Still....just don't know enough about them yet.

Like Rene, I've got the ASAP plate on my 10 SBR. But I'm using a 1/2 point sling from BDS Tactical. I like the wide padded strap for the heft of the 308 Ar's.

OK. I just looked at their website. They do say that they're making both patterns. Interesting, but they have the Armalite patterns listed as coming soon. I would assume (and we all know how that works) that you would have to use one of their uppers.....or maybe an Armalite upper. Just don't know enough about it yet. Looks like I've got some studying to do. Hmmmmm (scratching my head).

Hmm. I've never heard of anybody else (not the gospel here) other than Noveske using the Armalite pattern. Not counting Eagle arms, who Armalite owns.

I'm with seasprite. I've never heard the noisy springs on any of my 10's. One or two of my 15's make a little noise. Now, my son has an older Colt A2 HBAR that sounds like one of those little springy doorstops from the 50's and 60's. dwoing, dwoing dwoing. Makes me chuckle whenever we shoot the damn thing.
