Assuming that you'll be using the 308AR for mid to long range work, if I were in your shoes I'd take the scope off of the 5.56 & install it on the 308, get a smaller optic for the 5.56. Now what's this "Next Level Arms" never heard of them <dontknow>

The .308 has higher pressure than the 7.62x51 , but with these newer weapons you can shoot either from a 7.62 or .308 stamped barrel. You can hit the search feature & there should be several threads on the subject
