One week turnaround and these things look like new! Sized, trimmed, swaged and steel pin tumbled for $135. Can't beat that with a stick. Of course, now I've got to go load them up. The "work" never ends.

I finally got started on a 46lb bag of 5.56 1x-fired cases. Began by throwing 10 handfuls of cases at a time (~350) into the tumbler to clean them up. This is going to take a couple months to get all these prepped.

I love 1911s. I recently tried out some VZ grips very similar to your. They tore my up hands they were so sharp. Try them with gloves.

Get some books. Read them. I assume your 5.56 is for a gas rifle, so you have to get powders proper for a gas rifle. TAC, Varget, IMR4895, H4895, AA2520. I like ball powders but find AA4064 works well with77 grain BTHP. Any fast powder to begin with for the 9mm. Zip, Bullseye. Get to work.

History Channel did a piece last night entitled "The Real American Sniper". It was very good, lots of actual footage of Kyle in combat and his wife talking about him. Even the putz from NBC who did the interviewing was good. Only bad part was they gave the POS who killed Kyle and his friend something of a pass saying PTSD and leaving it at that (according to all reports, the guy never saw combat.) Update: I was at Lowes getting some items, and saw a pair of "3M tekk" earmuffs for $24. I had used these at a woodshop where I volunteer and really liked them. So I bought a pair, gave them a try at the range today. These things are great! Noise suppression was fine. There was a guy with a magnum rifle and a freekin' brake on it a couple seats away. With the tekks, no problem. Without them, he was worse than annoying. Best thing... no more batteries.

I'll attest to that. my NiB BCG was a bit stained before I tried the Fireclean. It didn't remove any of the coloration. Use the Fireclean first.

My Caldwell headphones gave up the ghost after many years of use. I wanted to get another set of electronic headphones for shooting and I'm sure this technology has improved over the years since I bought my last pair. What's a real good pair for sound reduction while shooting?

I purchased several of the ACS 20 round metal mags and they have been flawless. I really like them. I have one P-mag and it too is great, but I just really like the ACS mags.
