@98Z5Vits been awhile since I’ve made you squirm and I’ve done a number on my left thumb the past few weeks. First I was cutting stainless on the cutter and caught the corner of a piece I cut in the tip of my thumb, luckily my thumb nail stopped it from going any deeper than it had. then last Friday I was changing a compressor and on the new one they painted over the hex head bolts and I had to beat the Allen socket into it to get it out. Welp my thumb got in the way Enjoy tomass

The ac was pretty nice too. But I still miss the days riding and every time I get out there on those curvy roads part of me wish’s I was on two wheels

On the trail to Alstrom there were a group of guys on adventure bikes. I heard them ripping up the mountain as I changed my tire, I was alittle jealous.

I stayed the night again in that little city RV park in brush and headed home @Cunuckgaucho theres a road runner in this photo, dead center! I had the wrong lens on my camera for that range he stopped in the road meep meeped and kept on going. My first roadrunner

Torrey UT to Alstrom Point on Lake Powell NW of page Az. Took the hwy scenic byway which took my thru a lot of what I saw in 18’ but this time I went east to west. Passed thru the north end of Bryce Canyon national park and Dixie national forest. Then cut south east to lake Powell. I pulled into big water Ut which caters to tourism in lake Powell and was completely boarded up for the winter ended up having to pay 5.15/gal to top off before heading into the desert because the gas station only had premium left. I also was introduced to goat heads when I pulled over to piss cuz of course that was closed too. They were stuck in my shoes and tires?!?! Fuck those things! i headed into the desert and passed 3 passanger vans of people that really had no business being on the road. It was alot like getting to the Super Secret Shotting Spot in AZ but had many V shaped washes and you could see were 2wd vehicles had done burnouts trying to get thru them. Welp my bitching and thinking I was better bit me in the ass and the cosmos took me down a few notches and I cut a tire. FUCK! Ok settle down! You got all day suns not going down, you’re 3/4 the way there you can sleep here if you need to. slow is smooth, smooth is fast! gather up my tools (THANK GOD! I bought a rug for camping) put down my rug dropped the tire chalked my tires, truck comes pulling up. I shit you not it’s two Asian girls and a black cat in a Tacoma they ask me if I’m ok, the cat is looking at me like hey you’re my people! You good bro?!? I tell them I’m good I think. End up having to use both my new jack and the factory jack to get it high enough (after market was to tall with the flat). About this time a van full of guys speaking broken English flying the Arminian flag pull up. They too ask “you ok” I give them 👍🏼 they move on. I wonder about those guys I hope they didn’t get stuck cuz I have no freaking clue how they made it thru those washes. Get the tire changed and get out to Alstrom point and it’s worth every freaking bit of it. I watched one of the top three sunsets and sun rises ever. The stars were amazing, there was a meteor shower and I could see mars Jupiter and Uranus. It was so quiet up there

Thank you Sisco, I learned shooting pictures of the moon is alot different than the stars but I got a couple good shots of the Big Dipper, I’ll post more about that in the next sequence of photos

Torrey and Capital Reef national park So the pandemic showed the masses how great camping is. A lots of rented camper vans and RV’s navigated by idiots with no business driving a Prius let along a camper lol. Hit up a few places then decided to get away from the masses and found a gravel roads and a couple trails on the back side of the park. Ended up getting back in an area I passed thru in 18’ and was able to enjoy that area a little more, then ended the day in a place called sun set point

I knew it could be replaced and done cheaply, I was happy it wasn’t the box or a fender. But being alone with my own mind the what ifs got ahold of me. I would have tried fixing it right there to ease my mind but I was afraid of making it worse in no man’s land, he’ll I passed thru Hanksville and Torrey and couldn’t even buy a damn hammer lol

You were in my thoughts on my travels I talked to a native friend of mine this weekend about my travels when I got back. Everywhere I went I had ravens with me. To the point that I’d be like hey the ravens are back. One time there were like 3-4 and all but one flew off, the one that stayed let me get fairly close to take photos. When I was done I thanked him and he flew off. crows and ravens have always been one of my favorites but the interactions I had with them in my travels was spiritual in a way

It really is amazing after day two I didn’t drive on an interstate hwy for about 6.5-7 days. When I drove from Moab to Torrey UT a five hour drive I went thru less than 5 towns! I took it slow this trip didn’t really have anywhere in particular to be expect a few camp ground reservations I made prior. I can do 15-16 hours. I’ve done 18, and I started to go loopy. There are many thru out Iowa this is the first one I think. It’s pretty moving for a rock out in the middle of a corn field! If you have Facebook their page is really cool other wise I’m sure he has a web site too. That’s really cool!!

Fuck flying. I flew to Washington in July, I’d rather drive. Airports suck, people in airports suck and flying sucks lol.

I’ll get the rest tomorrow night I’m waiting for a few videos to upload 🍻🍻

Left Moab headed to Torrey UT, nice guys finish last. about a 1/4 of the way I took a detour up a mountain on the back side I met a truck and I backed up to let it thru. When I did I didn’t see a stump and smashed my bumper, which resulted in not being able to open my tail gate. The rest of the day I dwelled in that fact. When I got to the camp ground they had a large framing hammer and I was able to beat the bumper back into place and made the gate operational again
