  1. Me thinks my next built may go on this page. HINT: In Seekins I Trust 8)
  2. OMG 98!!!! You are right. Yeah, Thank You Brother, & thanks guys <thumbsup>
  3. Yes this is what I am thinking now, that car-10 XH & LMOS BC is counter productive. Obviously the LMOS would have less inertia and if you throw a heavy buffer in there then LMOS has to have that much more force from gas pressure to help it blow back. I'm thinking you are correct and having to open adj. gas block more to overcome heavy buffer is counter intuitive. Oh darn!! So if this is all true what should I give up, LMOS or CAR-10? Is it necessary to give one of them up?
  4. Yes I have the JP low profile adjustable already & I understand it's purpose and all that. I think what I worry about now is if the Low Mass BC will still be good with Clint's Car10 HX buffer setup. Not sure I thought all that through well enough & I am inexperienced with gas guns so ..... <dontknow> Reliability is my main concern with this topic, of coarse.
  5. yeah me thinks maybe I didn't do enough reading and thinking about the big picture and I could have went the wrong way with something. For my JDM upper I ordered from JP Ent. Supermatch 16" barrel mid gas system & comes with enhanced bolt, adj. gas block & Low Mass bolt carrier. I also have slash's Car10 HX buffer with modified Armalite spring. I am wondering if it was a good idea to go with the Low Mass Carrier & will it work well with Slash's buffer & spring too. I'm not really going to be using for serious bench. Target practice yes but hunting & tactical is what my build is about. I'm wondering if I should exchange JP low mass for JP full mass carrier. If you have a better idea than me then, please, what do you think?

  7. Why not get the JDM tube to go with your JDM set? I got the 14" it is $219. from JD Machine.
  8. Andreas this is great news!! I am encouraged to see how accurate you are shooting from 100, good job. I don't have my upper yet from JDM as they put me on backorder when I was expecting the set all at once and they sent me just the lower. Not too happy about that at all!! I wonder how well the upper will fit with the lower I already have when obviously it won't really be a "matched set", as I understand what that should mean anyway. If they fit tight together & no slop & pin holes line up good then that will be fine I guess. I'm willing to bet my left butt cheek your lower is exactly like mine with the 2nd detent install location. Thanks for the response I hope Pmags will work great in mine too.
  9. Hi Andreas6.5, are you using PMAGS in this build? It looks like you just got it running this month. Congrats on a nice build!! Oh and in your JD lower isn't there a thru hole that is also threaded 6-32 for the take down pin detent & spring to live in? Located from the rear of receiver where butt stock flushes againts. I have JD lower and mine has this option along with traditional option down there at the grip. I have MIAD so I used secondary option no problems. loctite'd a 6-32 set screw behind spring and it's good.
  10. Yeah? oh man I sure hope so. robocop my lower s# is 007xx, is yours close to that?
  11. yeah i got mine direct from them, you have to call them they don't have an online store as far as I can gather, so i called them.....
  12. Well @#$% $@#$!%!!!!! pmag was what I wanted to use I mean of coarse they were. I guess I have to call JDM and get the lowdown from them, like what mags will work in my new JDM PR3 lower. A few days ago i tried one of my brother in law's mags he uses in his SR25 and the thing wont drop freely, have to pull out with hand.
  13. OMG you're right brother unforgiven it is a tuna key LOL!!!! It's a tool to put the button into California mode or everywhere else mode. The button adjusts in & out of the receiver. Adjust button low in receiver and it's Cali mode. Adjust 2.5 -3 mm higher and you're in anywhere else mode because it will now work just like brother unforgiven's button will work. AWE never mind bro, this state is occupied by a bunch of idiots!!!!
  14. So the idea is you can be legal in Kalifornistan and then if you go to a good state you can very easily convert if to work like any other button that doesn't have anything to do with lame Ca. b.s. fixed magazine law.
  15. So I wanted to share this RADDLOCK button because some guys here who are in my California predicament might not know about this thing. I kinda like it.....
  16. Guys is this hole common in lowers? the hole in my receiver is tapped 6-32 too. Threads start 1/4" inside hole and end after another 1/4" or so. I used this option because MIAD doesn't seem to be good for the takedown detent spring. But I'm glad that other hole is there and it's threaded, I used 6-32 set screw and loctite'd it with 242.
  17. Okay thanks, Robo. And I am using the JP adjustable so.... Oh Boy I can hardly wait now, so close. I gotta tell you guys this is all I have been thinking about, you know? Yeah you know, I know you know, LOL!!! Like, wife just went to bed... who the hell cares <lmao> I'm right here sharing with you guys I can't get enough. So I got some more stuff for you guys some of you might be interested or not <dontknow> Next post you'll have it. Thanks Robocop <thumbsup>
  18. I hope your right brother 392heminut, I think it will be, but I hope I made the right choice on a few things. Mainly the bolt carrier. Should I have gotten the JP full mass instead?
  19. Yes 98Z5V I hear you brother. I stated chrome I should have said stainless my bad. I tried to get a decent pic but the lighting and then the flash I couldn't get it done. It has the oil on it that it shipped with too didn't want to clean it yet. But here's part of what JP has to say about their product, from their online store; "You may be wondering why our stainless carriers appear black. This is due to a new state of the art surface finish for stainless called QPQ (Quench, Polish, Quench). This is a five-step process resulting in a rock hard surface with natural lubricity. Some want the bright polished look and that is available on the JPBC-3 Low Mass carrier, but not the JPBC-2 tactical carrier. The JP LRP-07 has our large format AR-10 type Low Mass carrier. The JPBC-4 AR-10 low mass stainless bolt carrier is also finished in black QPQ hard coat for superior wear and natural lubricity. The JPBC-4 will also improve the sight recovery on the DPMS LR-308 or the Armalite AR10. However, it must be used with a DPMS LR-308 bolt assembly, firing pin, cam pin and firing pin retainer." Here's the link, with good pics too, to that page http://www.jprifles.com/1.4.7_bc.php And yeah they want $259.95 for that carrier, so I paid them :cookoo:
  20. This!!!! Yes, actually brother mariodesmo speaks truth. In fact to back that up just this Monday, Presidents Day, I went to a gun store, Valkrie Arms in Milpitas, and it was packed I mean seriously crowded. They have a indoor pistol range there and it was full capacity with I don't know how many people waiting. They do human silhouettes too and there were a number of chicks in there putting lots of holes in the middles of them. It was very diverse crowd too.
  21. Robocop I'm in Fremont, east side of the bay, above Milpitas which is above San Jose. I was born & raised in San Jose.
  22. Brother Unforgiven, keep up the good hard work bro, it's hard to come by. As a matter of fact I have maybe 1.5 months left at the job I'm doing now. But a bud just emailed me today & wanted resume to submit for a Tech job at a local big company here. Hey thank God every day and give him your gratitude, he'll like that. But yeah, I'm glad I can make you laugh, mission accomplished bro <thumbsup>
  23. Stippled my AFG, I may go over it again it's the 1st time I ever tried this.
