    Raddlock

What's the difference? You still have to use a tool!! Normal bullet button tool is in close proximity too. It should be the same logic for the raddlock mode change tool. And besides what if they can't find a tiny flat head driver because you don't have one with you? For one thing I don't know why little flathead is required for and AR in the field so just don't keep one with you. Darn it now you guys worry me do I have to get a regular bullet button now? KALIFORNIA SUX!!!!
  3. Oh yeah, I'm kind of late here now but I weighed it recently but only had a RCBS trigger pull scale to do it with. 14" JD hand guard tube style with barrel nut and sleeve attached was 14 oz. Without barrel nut & sleeve 10 oz.
  4. HAY, Thantos, welcome!!! Fremont here, how ya' doing brother?
  5. I've been paying some attention to my JP 2012 Catolog in my desire to learn more of what I can about the JP LMOS, since I don't think I did a very good job of thinking it out in he first place before I ordered their stuff, yeah I have to admit & that's one thing inexperience can do to you. So JP came out with the Silent Capured Spring this year and I have been trying to learn just what exactly is this and what will it do for my rifle. So far the most I can find is that is makes your rifle quiter and takes all the mechanical feel out of it, John Paul said it makes the AR feel as if you just fired a bolt action, a quote from a YouTube video I found from the 2012 Shot Show. I GOOGLED JP Silent Captured Spring and found stuff but so far I still don't know if it is beneficial in other ways. Like does the spring design help along the LMOS carrier in any way? Does it make LMOS more reliable? I dunno yet but I'm still on it. The part looks pretty trick and it's cost is a little less than Slash's CAR-10 XH buffer with spring. It replaces the traditional buffer design entirely & will 2 part #'s one for .223 and one for .308. I didn't pay any attention to it when I was devising a parts list so now I wonder if I wish I did. I'm going to call JP soon I'll get back here with anything I learn.
  6. I called JD today to confirm I need DPMS barrel nut wrench and indeed it is. Maybe that would make sense that the threads are DPMS also <dontknow> But they probably are.
  7. Awe man why doesn't anyone ever believe me, all you needed to get was a 6-32 set screw bro :'( Oh well mission accomplished <thumbsup>
  8. Yeah, I'm so impatient. I'm acting like a spoiled brat waiting for mommy to put my toys under the tree
  9. Yeah you can do this Ronin don't give it a second thought. Were doing it and it's not like were :cookoo: oh wait.... :o
  10. I have large logo lower too. So we are locked in with their upper to make logo complete, hmmm all the sudden i'm having second thoughts about that, LOL!!!
  11. thank you my brother <thumbsup>
  12. Oh no bro!! and how long does forever mean since you've been waiting? So far twice they have also told me two more weeks
  13. OH yeah which upper did you get? I got the one that's completely flush on ejector side, no deflector/forward assist B.S.
  14. Oh sorry bro I didn't mean to imply I'm cutting my barrel. I'm ding a 16" but not cutting, LOL I don't have the balls to do that but I tell ya' it sure looks bad ass what you will have. Okay if I do another one i will cut it ;) So when do you think the uppers will come, any idea? I talked to them Monday last week and I was told two more weeks so that would put them Monday next week but <dontknow>
  15. :D Welcome brother Yamadawg!!!! I saw that 13.7" barrel with PIG at a gun show and then had a out of body experience. I bought my JD receiver set at the same time. Yeah that was back in January and I still have not received upper, maybe next week if they speak truth. Oh well it will be here when it get's here sure i will be happy with it. Nice build you are doing <thumbsup> Here's mine so far it looks like we are thinking almost alike :)
  16. JD Machine's hand guard w/supplied barrel nut. Honestly I dunno who's wrench I'm supposed to use <dontknow>
  17. ??? But by the time you get to the range we will have replenished already.... I want my pic, darn it!!!!
  18. Because my brother in law has a 24" SR25, an original one from Stoner's first go around with KAC. (is it accurate to put it that way?), and I want to see if I can out shoot him with my 16" at 100 :) And one shot one kill factor.
  19. Oh for cryin' out loud!!!!! No I did not. Andreas Sorry for my ignorance, man.
  20. That's great!!! Now pull out that sucker and get a real trigger <lmao> Oh man Ironwolf I'm sorry I can't resist. No but seriously go with that DPMS trigger for a little while and you should figure out that you may want an upgrade there. Yeah go with that one and when it comes time to get new much better one then when you do you will appreciate it soooo much, seriously bro. Sorry I meant no offense just having fun, and WELCOME Brother Ironwolf!!!!! <thumbsup>
  21. Yeah, I'm still trying to figure out what your inbound package is too <dontknow> <munch> Thanks, Man!!
  22. Hello again, Andreas, yeah i think it will all be okay. Their stuff looks good to me, i'm not having any nightmares, but still <dontknow> What is the twist rate of your barrel? Those seem like pretty light boolits your shooting. Mine will be 1:10 twist and I will be hand loading mostly 168 gn is what I envision. I thought 140 gn was just about minimum for our cartridge but then again I ain't no expert in the least, it's just what I have read and heard. I have the link for you to my build as it is so far, all parts are ordered for the gun itself, I have received most of them ----> http://308ar.com/forum/building-a-308ar/my-official-lr-308-build-thread/ Now I have to get some glass and a bi-pod, a sling too, oh and swivel mounts for that sling and some Magpul rail covers, shoot I'm not done yet. SWFA is soon coming out with a new 1-6x24 scope with FFP and awesome reticules. They say they want to offer it for under $1000 so I am expecting like $999.95, yeah must save for that & I already have 2500 into this thing, LOL!!! So yeah I hear you this is addicting. I am also contemplating another build, but will have to let the little lady cool off awhile :o I'm all hot and bothered now about a 300 BLK <munch> Apparently one can be built using all traditional AR15 parts. When my brain recovers from this .308 build I don't see how I am going to avoid the 300 BLK itch I am already getting and start researching that. And when I discovered Seekins Precision products that kind of put me over the top. They make some gorgeous receivers and hand guards to go with them, though they are pricey too. My wife wants a new pistol so guess I better take care of that for her first ;)
  23. Yeah I like DD too but the price turned me way off back when i was starting my list. I was just thinking maybe the JDM tube would mount up nice and easy with their own upper <dontknow>, yeah I dunno yet because I don't have their upper yet, maybe next week it will come. LOL, I thought if I built it they would come <lmao>
