I ordered a slick side upper. That's not what they shipped >:( I called them and chick tells me they aren't making them now. I asked for dude, Eric, who sold me this poop. "Oh he's busy with customer now", and he never called me back and they said he's gone when i called back looking for him. So I spent most of the weekend fuming. At one point I was convinced that I would sell this set. Getting over it, kinda, I don't feel like dealing with all that B.S. anymore so...... So the product is real good I think. It's up to you whether or not you want to deal with this outfit or not. That's all I got to say about that. So yeah they sent me upper with forward assist fkg hole. I went to hardware store as I knew they had black chrome hole plugs and stuff. They didn't have hole plug to work in 1/2" I.D. of FA but they did have custom bolt head caps and one of them was 1/2" O.D. I think it looks pretty good. Picture will explain....

and JP Enterprises sent me my barrel & bolt. Slapped it together and this is what I get...

Received my barrel & matched bolt Fri 3/9. Bolt looks real nice. Barrel is 16" Supermatch, Ordered Black Teflon finish for $50 extra. Yep they charged me for that finish and shipped me what looks like a brushed stainless finish, no Black Teflon like I got billed for >:(

If you're running on a PC go to Microsoft Paint in your Accesories folder, in the programs files, open Paint and then do a file open in there. When you're picture opens then find where you can do a "resize". I think it's under the "tools" pull down menu or "format" whatever... Reduce it by 40 or 50% of original size and you should be good.

Robo, you said you wish you would have gotten the 3S instead, why since you got the mega upper too? Will the Mega upper still work with a 3S? I'm going to make order with Dave now but this 3H vs 3S thing is still hampering me. I was thinking 3H because I want the Mega upper too, but that limits you with only being compatible with Mega upper doesn't it?

Yeah, & I just firmed up with him on a deal, ready to do my part and send him something now :P I have to say he earned it. He responded to all my questions quickly. I felt like maybe I was dragging it out too long with all these questions i had but he never got frustrated with me or didn't show it anyway. I'm just getting a lower from him right now. Later I'll get the upper & what not from Dave. My daughter is going to have a nice MEGA AR-15. Nobody but me here in my house knows about it yet though, :cookoo:

They showed a 13.7" with their 14" HG & the Noveske flash hider. It was pretty damn light I thought. That was one of the selling points for me even though I'm not exactly finishing it like that, but I hope she ends up being almost as light.

Oh yeah!! Thanks 338 :) yeah the JP is just like my set up, I have JD Machine's system and they work exactly the same it appears. This is the last bit I needed to know about as far as mechanics. After reading a lot though the forums I am aware of some tricks to get through it regarding potential hang ups preventing an easy procedure so I think now I have enough background from others experiences to get through it. Yeah, and I've talked crap about that too but i know when they come through I will love it. Like I said somewhere here before I am impatient, I am so excited to get this thing built because I think it is going to really be a performer and something special to show off, you know... I've wanted to do this for a very long time and now that i have the opportunity I don't want anything in my way. Oh well yes i am impatient and i shouldn't be. Well my bad about potential pissing off mega, lord knows I don't wanna do that. I really am going to get at least a lower from them, and through Dave. Oh man I want one of their Monolithic uppers too, but..... I wasn't thinking of Dave when I did that, just my new friends here in this little sub forum, anything else didn't enter my mind. I have emailed Dave of my intentions to finalize an order from him and requested final details. But I am struggling with should I get the GTR-3H which is specific to use with Mega AR-15 upper or get the GTR-3S which is designed to work with most any other AR-15 upper. I want to build one around the Remington 300 BLK, I dunno why I just do <dontknow> LOL!!!
