Your parameters are exactly what I had in mind when I built this out of a DPMS standard carbine, it weighs 8.lb 6 oz unloaded but as you see it.... simple ,tough and very very accurate ,I have taken elk ,deer, with it is shoots 147,and 150, fine and loves 168....

true I have a trappers lic, but man to cover the country needed here is spendy in Gasoline but I have a snowmobile and a ATV so I might try it next year would have to buy about a thousand bucks in traps and snares and then find a area not being trapped but I am contemplating the idea.....

Hey watch that talk about POS laser... ^-^ my 64 year old eyes love my crimson trace adda Kimber custom tac 2 and it makes for a surgical team. when you do not have to wear glasses except to read it is hard to see the sights in focus but the laser cured all that and i found by practice I can now turn it off and shoot almost as well....

Yeah same here there are 4 screws and you can not budge the thing I carry mine elk hunting and wolf hunting on a snowmobile and on a ATV and it is as solid as a rock and what carbon tube??????? there is only the Apex handgaurd no other parts other than the mountingbracket..... show us some pics please i am curiuos...

Hose clamp and a 40 buck light work just fine and I can postion it anywhere on the handgaurd... :) total cost 41 bucks.... + batteries the Injun way...... :)

I am gearing up for the Salmon season to start it opens April 26 and will probably run till august or 4th of july depending on how many fish we get back this year. The springers or chinook salmon will be here first then later in august the fall chinook will start to arrive this year they are predicting 1.6 million fall chinnok the largest run ever on the columbia it will be fun times as some of them are as big as 60 lbs springes run 15 to 30 lbs. I use all my surf gear from the east coast and cast over 100 yards to the other side of the dam to catch springers fun stuff I bet I could catch them on some of your plugs...lol I miss the ocean but not the people on the east coast... have fun this year surf fishing is a blast...

Barnes 168 ttsx it is THE bullet I have killed elk, bear, deer, infact whatever you shoot with them in Fooked and they are accurate and no partians to fail pure copperand mushroom every time and make two hole one entering and one exit blood trails are like a carpet, but the thing I like best is because they do not fragment no tearing up meat and not a lot of bloodshot either... I have been shooting barnes for over 20 years...trust me no forked tounge stuff here just the truth!

fought tobbaco addictiopn for 20 years smoked and chewed for 35 total then one day 10 years ago my youngest daughter called me up and gave me a talking to about being there for my grandson and that if I did not quit I was not holding up my end so I quit and have never looked back that was what i needed to make it sink in.... everyone is different but if you want to quit you will.... good luck and I never want another drag or a chew the thought makes me sick I am cured.
