Brother that article does not even begin to spell the problem, we have in fact lost over 50% of all our elk and they have been wiped almost out in the wilderness areas, example 1985in the panhandle we had a 5 week elk season first 3 weeks were either sex no draw just shoot a cow or a bull and the bull to cow ratio was 50 bulls per 100 cows and the hunting was awesome, the woods had alot of hunters and life was good now today in the exact same area 10 bulls per 100 cows and NO either sex hunting and the season is 2 weeks long...... there are almost no elk there! or moose, example : the Clearwater zone where I hunt now used to have a population of over 21,000 elk now that population is a 2300 so their 20 percent numbers are BS these damn wolves have in effect runied hunting here in north central Idaho they are like a plauge of locusts and every bleeding heart tree hugging earth muffin out there wants to save them all.....!

and if he does not want it I would like to be next in line..

I am not bothered by LE at all been stopped alot in my days used to have very very long hair and I have more black ink on me than the Bill of rights but why did that OSP, have the right to search your car????? he would not have searched mine without a warrant. Been following this problem and thread of powermans a long time I do not have his gun here to evaluate but from the thread on his failures the extractor is not the only problem and this newer beefier one is like trying to get your lug nuts off and not having enough power so you add a cheater bar and this new extractor is the cheater bar..... it looks like it has the oomph to pul any case but why do you need it that is my question... I also run DPMS stuff and I do not even use a O ring on my extractor... so I am curious as to what has been causeing all these failures and I like many have said think your chamber is not quite right..... so all I mean by all my drivel is still be carefull look for ripped brass or chunks out of your brass really look pover your fired cases for signs of to tight a chamberand a finish reamer is the way to go not a hone as you really do not have much control over how much you remove not do you know where it might need to be removed , anyway I hope it works out for you nothing worse than a piece of iron that does not work right ....good luck

I do not know of a case of a mountain lion getting a hound other than at a tree where they got into a fight cats run from dogs.... mountain lions are very easy to tree .... but wolves are another canie and it is about territory when a hound is found in a wolf packs territory they go to drive them out and or kill them.... no different than when your dog pees on top of where another dog pees just marking his territory..... and in Idaho no way cars kill more deer than preadators I have driven here for over 30 years and I had one close encounter at hitting a deer wolves and mountain lions kill them every week or every 3 days all year long sound like more F&G B.S....... they probably read that in a college book....

Yeah I can see that happening here you can only run hounds in the spring and fall and at both time nothing else is open and we have so much wilderness that dogs become lost a lot and that seems to be when they get eaten the most when they stay out over night.

ordered me a ssa-e for my wolf gun... waiting for it to arrive....

yep camping and hiking with our dogs (heelers) used to be fun in the back country now no way the dogs will get eaten, hound hunters here have the same problem I have a fishing buddy who lost his whole pack 5 dogs to a wolf pack....

This Judge has decided for anyone in the future that they will only need 10 rds.... the arrogance of this man is astounding how long before some person is trying to defend him or herself and runs out of ammo and is killed or seriously injured I hope at that time the judge is made to pay restitution and is held accountable for his visions of grandeur! Self defense is just not about street muggers and thieves and rapist's but also about the God given right to protect ones self from a over bearing Government or zombie ,or horde of snakes..... these politicians whom attack the 2nd amendment after taking a sworn oath to protect it need to be held accountable for their actions and for not keeping their oath!

always amazes me how people spend their money...... when I want to shoot i walk out my front or back door and have at it all my neighbors do the same..and i am with 98 on this if I was in there it would not be pretty .

never shot steel, I do not use lead nosed bullets all my hunting bullets are barnes ttsx you may have issues with deformation of the nose due to the way the cartridge is stripped from the magazine and slammed home..... and you can fire , alot you will get tired before the gun does.... use plenty of lube on the bolt and bolt carrier till broke in i recommend mobile 1 synthetic 30 it will impregnate the metal and make cleaning a lot easier... I also have a vortex strikefire have had it for 2 years it has either a red or green dot and is tough I use it on a carbine 5.56 on the atv when wolf huntingit has been banged around a lot and has never shifted zero and the dot is very tight , in fact it is a better dot than my eotechs... and I have not changed batteries yet ..
