Seems in th last 20 years or so their has been a huge new group of hunters who believe that bigger is always better ,I am seeing alot more magnums like 338,7mm STW, 378 weatherby etc. all in the hands of folks that can not handle them obviously if you have a big old cannon and know how to shoot it and load for it this does not apply to you , but the single most important thing to successful hunting is bullet placement if you put a well constructed bullet through the lungs of any animal it is over end game .... so for my money practice and confidence in your weapon of choice is foremost the most important thing to not good but great bullet placement.... know your target and it's anatomy and you will have no problems and waste no meat..... :)
