  1. I really like the Sitka Gear for layering when hunting. It is lightweight and moves well. The major downside is it is expensive. My second choice is realtree ap from none other than Bass Pro. Tom nailed it, it is terrain and veg dependent, and in GA, realtree does he best job for me. The Kryptek stuff is cool, but have never seen any of close. I have MARPAT, Multicam, woodland, and OD for work and when I hunt, I much prefer the commercial offerings.
  2. I do not have any issues with my ADMs RTZing, but I rarely remove them. I only have experience with Larue and ADM and in my experience there isn't much difference between the two besides looks.
  3. 1. MOE+ 2. MOE 3. APEG Larue Tactical My duty SBR has a RRA rubberized grip that it has worn for years. It ain't my favorite but it does the job.
  4. We will get caseless about the same time as they invent politicians that don't lie, women that don't shop, and a government that don't tax.
  5. Damn straight. I see another one in my near future. I put the rail on the bottom for accushot monopod.
  6. I can't argue there. The MOE is "robust." I should have added that in my post. On a positive note, it is lighter than the PRS.....but then again what isn't. :-)
  7. I bought a MOE fixed rifle stock after seeing one 98z5v's builds. I put it on one of my 308s and I really like it and recommend it. It is shorter than the A2....though not by much. QD mounts are available.
  8. Nice "French" cannon. At 2:23, he sounds like he has sleep apnea.
  9. LOL. Who says the younger generations are resourceful?????
  10. Also a huge huge fan of cocaine!!!
  11. Syrac Ordinance is by far the best I have used.
  12. From your lips, to God's ears!
  13. It looks like TPL is slowly losing steam. I read a lot of the comments a little while ago and it sounds very similar to other less mature weapons forums.
  14. Yep! Very nice.
  15. Never even considered doing this until reading this post. I paid 385 for my NFA trust and the lawyer that set it up provided forms to add or remove trustees as needed. He has always answered my calls and emails. It took 2 business days. To get on my soapbox....I wish this NFA nonsense could be overturned. If you are law abiding and mentally stable I see no reason for this waiting. If it s about the tax, fine keep it in place to be paid at the time of purchase and walk out the door with your goodie.
  16. I kinda wish I could see one like the one that landed in Siberia.
  17. I love that guy. This maybe blasphemy but I liked him when he was with Damn Yankees.
  18. They really are a class act. They have been top notch through all this.
  19. Just damn! That is cold! I would have liked to do some shooting in that 40mph wind though.
  20. I am about to finish off a couple of Blue Moons that are taking up room in the fridge.
  21. It is high speed for sure. I really like the AX AIC stock as well, but as you said, BIG BUCKS... I know that if you buy a complete rifle from Surgeon, they will upgrade you to the AX at a pseudo reasonable price. Bolt actions have gotten a lot more urban environment friendly lately as many departments transition to the semi auto platform. I love a bolt action but it is hard to argue with usefulness and flexibility of a SASS.
  22. Yummy! I'm tempted to drive to Walmart now.
  23. My MI Gen2 on one of my ARs was a tightening/loosening fiasco. I used enough moly grease to shove a suburban through a keyhole.
  24. I had Gravel sized hail for 25 minutes today. My neighbor's truck took every bit of it. His hood looks like a fat chick's butt. I bet he wishes it had snowed.
  25. Didn't see this in time, but you made the right choice.
