  1. I agree the staff was subpar and non inventive on the show to say the least but I watched it for the purrdddyyy explosions....
  2. Thanks for the advice, I was actually thinking about detail stripping it too
  3. Yea I ran across the spring issue when doing some research on the gun. I may just put it up for now until i decide ultimately what I want to do with it. The internals look to have normal wear for a gun its age. Nothing terrible or excessive looking to me.
  4. Yeah I think Ill go put some rounds down the pipe this weekend and clean her up good and to the safe she will go.
  5. Nice Ive been eyeing the LC9 and 380 for months now and heard about the "s" version as well. Im curios how it compares with the original version as far as trigger pull and weight and what not.
  6. I saw those myself but the lack of info on the package swayed me away from them. Let us know how they are.
  7. Yeah the thing is I don't find many online that are blued with the raised rib and the mag funnel. Id like to get a better fix on the value but odds are from what I'm looking at, and the condition of this pistol, ~1000 would be my guess.
  8. Only thing i didnt like was the weird looking sight rail thats on top of the pistol but im not messing with it too much, it will be a safe queen most likely. I may send it back to colt to get factory refinished so it will be like brand new first.
  9. Yea the insides looked good. Has some wear but still had great rifling in the barrel and not too much wear on the outside given its age. Ive been wanting a 1911 and why not make this trade is what I say.
  10. Well i got an offer i couldnt pass up. Guy on facebook gun swap page was looking for a glock and had a 70s made Colt gold cup national match 1911 he was looking to get rid of. Long story short I traded him my glock 9mm + 100 bucks and walked away with this beauty. Feeling pretty stoked personally. It is a very good shape. Little surface rust here and there from being stored dry but nothing i cant take care of. All in all i think it was a great trade.

I should have been more specific, i was whipped with sticks, belts, etc growing up, but if it legitimately harmed this child then it is wrong I agree. Should have worded my response more clearly. Thats why I said all the details aren't out yet and we don't know the extent of the "beating" of the child. There is a clear difference between whipping and beating.
  12. Some one can correct me if Im wrong but that should mean 1974 Lake city (manufacturer) with a nato headstamp (circle with cross) Probably old milsurp ammo It doesn't have a designation on it of what caliber on the packaging? Buy a box of 308 and compare...
  13. I have it set to DVR i missed it but Ill catch it again @ 9AM

What do y'all think about Peterson getting benched for using a stick to whip his kid? I know all the details aren't out yet and how bad the extent of the "beating" was but dam, this is whats wrong these days. Cant even properly whip a kid without a grand jury locking ya ass up.
  15. I did that to my glock and lower receiver on my armalite. Works great.
  16. I have multiple boxes of winchester "hog hammers" (that I got a deal on at academy due to a mislabeled shelf <thumbsup>) which are soft point projectiles and have no issues with my armalite. It doesn't gouge the projectile or casing. <dontknow>
  17. Done Getting Closer No 54% Yes 46%
  18. I found it works better if painted white first before the color. Just my .02
  19. I was waiting for an AD the entire first half. Then him covering the other guy, although the gun empty, was cringe worthy to say the least.
  20. Wow, even my wife who's only shot with me a handful of times pointed out everything wrong with that video as i was watching it laying next to her. I think he's in the running for a future darwin award!
  21. Exactly, I know I am not the only person out there wishing I had options on this.
  22. First of all I have a 10B. Im getting a little aggravated finding the Armalite proprietary mags for it that doesn't cost an arm and a leg and would like the option of the pmags as well as I love them in the Ar15. My question is I know there are differences in both the upper and the lower, but if I purchased a 10A lower would it work with my existing upper or would that have to be replaced as well?
  23. I think I remember seeing them price a 25 round box of hollow point 9mm for around 80-90 bucks or something in that range. That was when I gave them the finger and never looked at their prices again.
  24. I never felt the urge to buy any. I know the "be prepared" type mindset of having one but I just don't see the practicality.
