  1. I cut mine out with a turkey knife as well. Works very well. I found a video that the guy paints the foam with plastidip after and it makes it less tear resistant. Foam soaks it up pretty well and makes it firmer. Heres the vid:
  2. Just don't ask about any of the latest and greatest gadgets or if anyone has used them..... ::)
  3. Definitely keep us updated. I think I am going to get a trust set up soon. Theres actually a lawyer in Metairie that runs a gun shop out of his law office that also does trusts lol. One stop shop I guess for class 3 purchases. Have some friends that have done business with him. From what I gather he charges around 400 for trust, stamp fee and engraving....sounds a bit cheap tho.
  4. Thank you for clearing some of this mess up. I got the picture of the aparent blast from info wars and we know how credible they are. Was just throwing it out there that's y I said aparently not definately. Also I wasn't sure about the use of "tactical nukes" and how they compared to "normal" ones that's also y I gave both sides of what I found. Great links tho!!!
  5. That's what I was thinking as well that it was a little short lived for atomic.
  6. No credible sources are touching on this yet. I'm curious of what it was also.
  7. And aparently the blast was also captured by a NATO satellite.
  8. Just ran across multiple reports of a possible "tactical nuke" going off in Ukraine. Other reports are saying artillery hitting an ammo dump. Either way it was a hell of a boom. Heres one of the vids posted on the explosion... https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Hh3W8dv7KyY
  9. Ive also been thinking of doing the same. I keep seeing these "solvent traps" at gun shows and the solvent trap adapters and can't see a practical use for them other than making a home built suppressor. Anyone know the exact legal way of going about this? Im very interested also. How can it be serialized without being registered, and are you in "constructive possession" having all of the pieces to do it sort of like a SBR... <dontknow>
  10. If that's the only issues you have with this rifle...then dam man what do you drive a Rolls Royce? Seems a little nitpicky to me. Almost every manufacturer in 308 ARs have a different way to go about doing things. Most have proprietary parts as there really isn't a "milspec" standard in the industry as far as I know in the 308 platform. Everything Ive read from Aero is top notch and Im thinking on building my next rifle from Aero parts.
  11. No overwhelmingly has it
  12. I read all the comments and it looks like they are meeting up tonight to discuss what's going to be done at the shop. Definately curious on what's going to happen with this one...

The Saints baffle me...they have played terrible the last few weeks then go on a roll today and whip the Steelers. Take away the 2 touchdowns they scored in garbage time while we were letting them run the clock and it was embarrassing on their part..Where was this team the last few weeks???
  14. Well trying to get the rifle sighted in with some new ammo for hunting was quite an experience. They are a little heavier than I normally shoot and they were flying all over the paper. After about 6 rounds I figured there was a problem with either the rifle or the scope/mount. Started checking tightness on everything and found the barrel seemed to be a little loose. When grabbing the front of the rifle and twisting I noticed the gas tube moving ever so slightly. Tightened it down and now she's back to normal. Shooting 1.5" groups at 100 with some cheaper winchester soft nose ammo doesn't seem to shabby to me. My question is, is it normal for the nut to come loose over time? I have about 1k at least through this rifle....Just never experienced this before.
  15. Im laying on the couch stuffed and now the wife is talking about dragging down the christmas deco. from the attic.....i dunno about that lol.
  16. Welcome from LA.....Whats your avatar pic there. Cant quite make it out.
  17. Just wish there was an aftermarket for the box mags...
  18. Looks good..Duracoat or just good ol krylon?
  19. The proprietary mags are much more expensive. I can tell you that from experience. Had I known there was a difference when I purchased my rifle I would have gone with another model that takes pmags. Just my .02

Saints can take control of the division tonight with a sub .500 record. Who Dat lol. What a lackluster season to have and still have a chance. What a joke. But I'll take it. Side note. Wonder if we make the playoffs with 6 or 7 wins if Godell changes the playoff seating rules.... kind of like when we had to travel to a 7-9 seachicken koop and lost lol.
  23. I've been looking around for a 300 barrel for a black friday sale or a complete upper for a nice deal. Looking to make a hunting upper for my ar15 basically. Any suggestions of where to look this week for the deals. Looked at palmetto but no dice. And didn't notice if midway or Brownells had a decent sale going on just looking through my phone browser. Anyone ran across one? If so where...
  24. Thats the graves of all the spectators killed at this track. WTF people next to a concrete barrier with a semi hauling ass like that.....
  25. And BTW I have a friend that bought an upper from them after the show because he bought into the hype..worst feeding piece of junk I've ever seen. I take pmags that work fine in my rifle, throw em in his and rounds end up nose up into the gas tube half the time somehow. either that or it fails to eject or double feeds. Wouldn't bet my life on it thats for sure.
