  1. I'm on their waiting list too. What I can say is that they are pretty communicative. On Facebook I asked him about the forward assist (as at that point I hadn't realized that DPMS 308 BCGs don't have or need the side notches for FA) and he took pictures of a factory dpms bolt and started a conversation about it 22b9d600112226aec349b89e91bb88c2 It leaves me way more comfortable than someone like RGuns who if you can get them to respond at all basically responds with a grunt, or a 2 word reply
  2. Hmm yeah, I just did the math and you're right, the handguard + stock can make a huge difference in price, trigger can be a big jump too. Just my build isn't coming out nearly that high, but I'm also not going high end on stock or handguard, and got good low $ deals on a few of the parts
  3. I'd like to see the breakdown on that, because I'm not sure I could spend that much on parts if I wanted to :D Unless you bought 20 magpul magazines at $75 each as part of it ;)
  4. I'm already half freaking out over the wait on my lower. I know when I bought it had a target date of early april, but still i'm chomping at the bit as other parts start to arrive
  5. was I just mistaken in thinking you meant the 308 raptors were in or have you just been too busy to put them up?
  6. it sucks because currently I have managed to scrape up 1 20rd + 1 10rd for my build, but really wanted at least one more 20 if not 2, just so when I go to the range with my daughter she can reload mags inbetween while she's waiting her turn. I just can't bear the thought of paying $75 for something that was selling for $20 4 months ago
  7. it sounds pretty intriguing other than maybe it being meant to mount on either mil spec or commercial tubes.
  8. I called, they are only selling locally. Pity.
  9. that would be great. I'd want 3, and i'll happily pay for shipping and throw in enough extra for you to order a pizza :)
  10. can you pick some up and ship them to me? :D
  11. perfect, because I decided on the raptor for charging handle on my build, but haven't found one in stock yet for the 308 :P and I wanted to put a nice selector on
  12. hmm that one says AR-15, and I know the ejection port pin isn't the same on the LR308 + AR15
  13. Actually I found that midway sells a plug specifically made for this http://www.midwayusa.com/product/198053/schuster-forward-assist-plug-delrin-ar-15 and its only $8 anyhow, so I can throw it in on my next order
  14. so i'm guessing from the $7 number that the particular one is the 5/8 OD one? don't have a FA here to measure, or even have the upper.
  15. I bought a stripped upper partially because it was available, partially because its going to be cerakoted anyhow so this way I didn't even have to take anything off before handing it to the gunsmith to do the coating. But.... With all the craziness out there right now, LR-308 ejection port pins are out of stock anywhere and everywhere that carries them. I very literally am down to now just needing those parts for the upper receiver to have everything I need. Any ideas of what dimensions are so I can just buy a matching pin elsewhere? or cut a longer one down?
  16. I realized I had a follow up question on this. Since the upper is set up to have a forward assist, if you are ending up with a BCG that doesn't have it (which I can't really tell from the description of the harris tactical one from what I know) what do you do with the hole if you bought a stripped upper?
  17. Thanks for posting this. I'm still in a tossup between the CTR, STR and ACS (L or not), so at least its good to get a confirmation that the ACSL is a nice stock. have you shot with it already?
  18. easy enough to do that. Is it a decent feeling forearm on the AR15? Just seems a little shocking that its around 1/4 the price of the next cheapest one with rails
  19. Has anyone used one successfully on a LR 308? http://store.magpul.com/product/MAG419/184 I can't even tell exactly how it mounts to be sure. And its not just the price that is attractive (although that surely is) but the configurable 2, 6 and 10 o clock rails, plus the colors. I'm doing the 308 in either foliage or olive drab for hunting, and those are available in either.
  20. I'm pondering the UBR, its just the cost. I've been leaning towards the ACS or STR instead. It gets harder with each parts order to convince the wife to let me spend it ;) and I still need a forearm too. other than that, I think pretty much I have all the parts ordered and on the way
  21. I shoot pool. have a table at home, plus am in the APA league.
  22. Ok, settled on a Rainier Arms 20" stainless barrel, its on its way. now i'm mostly left with stocks + forearm, plus waiting for all of the in manufacture parts to ship
  23. which particular model did you get? I don't see one on their site that is AR-10 specific
  24. Looking to pick up a set cheap, or when my parts are all in and I assemble a set to borrow to check headspacing with and return :)
  25. I think i'd rather live without a forward assist to get a nickel boron coated BCG at that price. Besides, its not like you can find a forward assist now either :D Thanks for posting the link dengoose, I needed one and i'm ordering one!
