That rocks! Now I have to get both my vehicles to do that.

They're way too expensive but I'll be decking out at least one AR-15 with JP BCG, buffer, and possibly barrel. I'm curious to see what the fuss is all about. Only one though because I think doing all of mine like that would mean quite a few less firearms in my safe. Firing an AR with basic stock parts and then moving to one with higher end products gives a new perspective on what they all should be.

I'll take one of each please. Very nice rifles. How much would you say you have invested for the one on the right? I want to know what I'm in for when I get bored and start upgrading.

Greg, in about another month and a half I'll get prices for two (if you can wait that long lol). This friend was the same that was unable to get a KAC in when I first joined the forum. It wasn't his fault due to obscene demands but I don't know what the wait will be on those. I'm guessing not too bad because it's no SR15E3. I'll send an email out at that point so I can move right away when I have the cash in hand. I'm sure we can double up for the same price. It's that place in Uxbridge so it's a hike for both of us.

A poll sounds good. I like the RW&B and the FDE ones on black. Whatever is decided on, I'm a fan of the design in general and will buy at least one shirt and a sticker.

I'm torn between the Savage TR, Savage FV-SR, and a Ruger 10/22 Tactical with Hogue stock. All are very nice. The Savage FV-SR with a Nikon Prostaff Rimfire scope puts me in well under $500 from a buddy that owns a gun store. Although the rimfire uppers are nice, I'd like a dedicated rifle right now. I'll have to give it a bit more thought. Thanks to all that gave some imput. Keep it coming if you have any other recommendations.

It's a niche type product. Personally, I enjoy flashy. However, I completely understand why many don't like it. I'm a fan of WWII history and that's the cord it strikes with me (ie aircraft). Also, I enjoy companies that go outside the box and are experimenting with billet designs. This is why I like the increasing trend of companies designing flared out magwells.

You guys will keep me busy for awhile with all this info. Lots of reading to do to check out all these great toys. My wife's first time shooting a gun last year ended with her crying because she was scared...lol. I need to get her into something small. A 22 would be great. Of course I'll probably hog it and have to get two.

lol...yup. It's oh so pretty on that AR though. I'd be in at 250. Anything higher, I'd have to pass.

There's one member that's particularly interested in this puppy and I'm sure others will follow. I can't stand FB but it's good for specific updates on merch... Actual website is http://sharpsbros.com/hellbreaker-ar-15-lower-receiver-standard/ Rainier Arms has advised that they'll be one of the first to start carrying it this year on a large scale. Looks like it will start June-July.

I have a Ruger MKIII Competition handgun so I'm partial to the Rugers. I haven't owned a 22 rifle since I was a kid so it would be nice to get one sooner rather than later. I was watching one of those Top Shot shows awhile back and caught a glimpse of a Volquart$en...very nice but definately way above the $500 mark and the wait list is well over a year last time I checked.

I want to get some opinions on the best 22 rifles on the market for $500 or under? No top quality competition level models will be considered, but that's not to say that it wouldn't be fun to just hear about a few on this level as well...there's a budget on this one. Savage, Ruger, or something else? Also, what would your choice be for a scope?

Soofley, beautiful build. I wouldn't hold the customer service issue against them. I've dealt with some of the larger online retailers quite regularly since January and it seems that most are very slow. I would say the demand is bogging customer service down. Fulton Armory and JoeBobOutfitters are currently the best IMO for getting items out quickly and packaged well. There have been companies that have never sent me an email acknowedgement or call now months after cancelling certain orders. I try not to hold it against them. You usually have to go to the smaller companies for talk time. Although Heavybuffer.com had a rep call me the night I placed an order. Very professional and a pleasure to deal with.

Incredible. Looks like it's straight out of a Michael Bay movie. I heard about the variations that were being developed for the different branches quite a while ago. It's nice to see video of it. I hope the seat(s) have as many shocks (or whatever goes into it) as the landing gear.

R, I went back to college to finish a BA after serving in the military. I can't tell you how much my blood boiled on almost a daily basis with these types of professors and their agendas. One of them that headed a department actually advised me that I should go AWOL when I got orders to deploy (after active service I went into the ARNG). It's unbelievable. That's why I finished my Masters degree online. The young college kids gobble it up too. What happened to educating and exposing students to different ideas other than your own? It may be a small percentage, but some are just brainwashing young adults.

Ironic...a lot of media outlets are starting to report on this. http://frontpagemag.com/2013/dgreenfield/american-professor-who-hates-america-stabbed-in-cairo-by-muslim-who-also-hates-america/ http://worldnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2013/05/09/18148951-american-academic-stabbed-in-neck-near-us-embassy-in-cairo

True.Black Rain seems to commonly be going for double the MSRP on GB...shocking. It's always great when you can get a good price on one. Easy, it's your fault I like that one too. 300 is a crazy markup. At least it's finished, unlike the 80 that I linked. If they have a buy it now price of 329 than what on earth do they want for a finished and anodized one? Not even worth asking. -

Good choice too. I have one stripped SP15 in my safe and it's top quality. I haven't decided to build on it or not. A friend might buy it off me but he always talks a good game but never follows through. The SP223 is a billet lower. It will be my "pretty" gun. This will be the one that I'll build off of and will eventually get a matching upper and rail for it, cerakote it, etc... If and when the gun frenzy dies down, I'll try to get one of these 80%'s... http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=341227113 The co. that sells them is friggin out of their minds for the price they want. Too bad because no one else makes anything like it, from what I've seen. The Seekins is close. -

Yes, it's a Seekins Precision SP223 lower. Greg has listened to me whine about getting one for months and I just had to do it. They're popping up again every 4-7 weeks through JoeBobOutfitters and a small number of others, but I just got it from Rainier Arms. Hopefully they got my FFL and it goes through smoothly. I haven't dealt with them for firearms purchases before. Those little bastards typically sell out w/i a half an hour! Thank God for smart phones.
