  1. The Mega MATEN gets a lot of praise. I'd skip the POF rail. It's stupidly tall.
  2. Even though I have a PWS MK216 and LMT MWS, the new DPMS G2 Recon has been tempting me...
  3. AA looks to be joining the .308 game soon! Interesting to note is the short receiver set. I wonder if it's DPMS LR308 GII pattern?
  4. Not meeee! My eyes area bit taller, 16:10 ftw! =P
  5. Anybody got a bad AR-15 magazine they're planning on throwing away? I'll gladly pay shipping for just the mag or mag body (if a std capacity magazine). I need to make an SSE magazine block with it. Thanks!
  6. Leupy Mark 8 March also makes an illuminated variant of the March-F I got, however the reticle is a bit thick for precision work IMO.
  7. I wouldn't say that... Would you buy a new car from a company that you had to send back for major repair as many times as this rifle has (and also found out they swapped your engine for a weaker one)?
  8. Late reply, but just got back from a business trip overseas. Your issue is a result of the buffer retainer hole being too far rearward. When the upper is closed on the lower the back of the BCG is supposed to push the buffer off of the retaining pin. When the firearm cycles with the upper on, the buffer should never touch the buffer retainer. You can visually inspect this two ways, the first is to separate the upper and lower. You should be able to see the buffer protruding beyond the rear of the receiver (towards the fire control area) where the receiver extension threads into. The second way is to look for the rear of the bcg pushing the buffer off of the buffer retainer when closing the upper on the lower. A light helps with this. If you really want to try fixing this yourself you'll need to try to extend the buffer retainer hole more towards the fire control pocket and then use a shim to keep the buffer retainer towards the front of the receiver. The hole is 1/4". I've seen other reports of this issue on POF lowers before (and that's with matched POF uppers too).
  9. Trollolololololol! How appropriate. Courtesy of Sage Dynamics and SSD.
  10. The take-away I got from this is: get a reticle that allows you to use hold-overs to avoid dialing as much as possible.
  11. Which gas setting were you running it on? I run mine on position 2 for everything.
  12. Uh, yeah I'll take their "vow" when I see it. They've already broken their promises a few times with you...
  13. At that price I can't say I'm surprised.
  14. Not going to lie, I had the same train of thought as you after reading his post. "What about those larger Six8 receivers and PMAGS?" Then I looked it up, and yeah, disappointing.
  15. I know a couple other forums that do this too. Good idea.
  16. Does this mean you're moving up to the Mark 8 1-8x?
  17. Unfortunately, this isn't an option. The Six8 PMAGs are designed with a max COAL of 2.32, still less than the 2.408 he needs.
  18. Core sure loves digging that hole deeper...
  19. Yup, I got a few from that collection...
  20. The PRS uses the A1/A2 receiver extension so you should be able to just slide the PRS off, put the A2 spacer on the end of the receiver extension and then slip an A2 stock on.
  21. The hammer pin is captured differently between the two making the installation of the g2s a bit more tricky (but still not hard). Feel wise my SSA is slightly smoother, but you really have to concentrate to notice the difference. I won't be buying anymore SSA's after using the G2S though (wouldn't mind more SD series though lol).
  22. IIRC Knight's Armament had a webisode where they were going over the elder Knight's collection and he also had a Dutch AR-10. Jerry Miculek got to shoot it and give his impressions. I think they may have talked about the value too. Either way, it's worth a pretty penny since I think there were less than 10k of them made. Edit: Found the video!
  23. Slightly cheaper at Buck Shot Sporting Goods. Price shown includes shipping! This shop is legit too. I bought a VP9 from them a week ago for $575 :). Sale Price $53.00 2 or more $51.50 each 4 or more $50.00 each
  24. With a dimpled barrel and set screw in it there's no way mechanically for the block to rotate. With a clamp on style they can rotate (not saying they always will, but it's possible).
  25. Yes. The LMT cheek piece is more similar to that of a LMT SOPMOD stock while the PRS is just slightly wider than the stock itself.
