  1. Just in case you weren't paying attention today: Gunman kills 2 deputies and injures one deputy and a bystander with an "AR-15 style" rifle. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2014/10/24/manhunt-underway-for-gunman-who-shot-3-california-sheriff-deputies-bystander/ ....and high school shooting in WA. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2014/10/24/police-respond-to-shooting-at-washington-state-high-school/ Wonder if this is going to start another round of paranoia, especially that shooting in CA starring yet another "dangerous" AR-15 rifle.
  2. http://zqiammousa.com/products/762x51/ You should be good to go, Ed.
  3. ooh... think of the possibilities. Easily remote mount any AR. Put it on a quadcopter. Mount it co-axially with the security camera at your front door. The hood of your car. Motorcycle....Or your mountain bike! Wire it up to a fire button. :D :D
  4. That's what I do best!! <lmao> <laughs> The auto mod for that particular digital trigger would be easy peasy. Just re-wire it. No other parts needed. That's what's leading me to think that the ATF will probably nix it for civilian use.
  5. I see the ATF having an issue with this if it's released for the civilian market -- it will make it too easy to mod the semi auto version into a full auto or burst. No need for auto sear etc.
  6. If you ask nicely :D
  7. Baked tonight. First production batch of lowers....boring graphite black.
  8. I've always wanted to hook up a light+music show for xmas but neer got around to doing it. Damm my lazy ass. <lmao>
  9. rut roh... it's the self-appointed forum po-po. RUN! <laughs> <lmao>
  10. DUDE if it rains it would be awesome. Get a plastic box and put the projector in it (hope it doesn't overheat), then cut a large hole for the lens and project it against the rain instead of the "invisible" mesh screen. Other thing you probably could do is to get fan-spray misters (or ultrasonic foggers) to create a screen of water vapor and project it against the water vapor curtain.
  11. Heh.. I forgot I have an old (5 years maybe?) Dell M109S projector. It used to be $500ish then, and it worked really well for a 50-lumen projector that I could fit in the palm of my hand was really handy when running around making presentations.....
  12. No, but Armalite makes AR-10A's that are compatible with SR25 style mags (and therefore are PMAG compatible)
  13. You could drive to AZ and use my CNC mills and pay me instead :D
  14. Incidentally, the BenQ has one of the highest performance (lowest latency, fastest response) among projectors - they're great for gaming after you're done with them for halloween. How about Dune in the Dunes! LONG LIVE THE FIGHTERS! <lmao> <laughs>
  15. Here's the new lower that's going on my 300. Just got done testing it and everything checks out. Gonna run the rest of the batch tomorrow. :D
  16. No, just lazy. :D
  17. Those cheapo BenQ projectors are pretty decent and perform really well for the price. You don't need a super bright one since you'll be projecting at night. 2500-3000 lumens should do it. http://www.amazon.com/BenQ-MW523-WXGA-Lumen-Projector/dp/B00G2HX6OW/ref=sr_1_5?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1413949148&sr=1-5&keywords=benq http://www.amazon.com/BenQ-MS521-3000L-Smart-Projector/dp/B00G87AW3E/ref=sr_1_6?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1413949148&sr=1-6&keywords=benq http://www.amazon.com/BenQ-MS504-Smarteco-Projector-lumens/dp/B00FWUQV92/ref=sr_1_3?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1413949148&sr=1-3&keywords=benq
  18. +1 on the lee factory crimp die. Who cares about "one and done" when cranking stuff out on a progressive. :D
  19. Speaking of 300 AAC, anyone interested in a group buy of Rem 220gr 300 aac subs at < $16/box of 20? No manhandling 223 cartridges to convert them. :)
  20. The FA/dust cover are minor issues. The odd rail height is perhaps the biggest issues. Then again maybe I should be making free float handguards for the odd DPMS "T" receiver. :D
  21. I wouldn't recommend that to anyone. The upper is a slickside (no deflector, no ejection port cover, and some may add that there's no F/A) upper with the target profile rail - that makes is incompatible with almost every railed handguard out there. Not a good starting point.
  22. Welcome from AZ!
  23. Armalite DEF-10. $999. Buy it and then accessorize it however you want using the $400 leftover from your budget. http://www.armalite.com/ItemForm.aspx?item=DEF10&ReturnUrl=Categories.aspx?Category=c4bf2a5c-d77d-4f58-8022-95f6afe8e6cf >:D
  24. I've used both the RCBS lube spray and Hornady One-Shot lube. Both work way better than rolling the cases on the lube pad.
  25. Lived in Fremont for a year while working in the bay area. 9/11 hit and so I put up an American flag in support. Arab (not 100% sure...but I believe he was a durka-durka and not a dot) neighbor across street complained to his next door neighbor. Month later, black SUV was seen scoping out the neighborhood. Another week or two passes and I was woken up at night by the commotion outside. "Police" cars, unmarked black SUV's on the street, flashing lights, men in black tac gear were going through the arab's house. Two days later, I come home and see police car parked out front of the arab's house and 2 "police" officers were clearing the house again. Loved the area, but after living so close to little afghanistan, we packed up and moved back to AZ. Tired of all the f*ing foreigners, fruits, and nuts.
