  1. My bedroom is the safe. <laughs> <lmao>
  2. Knowing that MPD has them and the police station is about 1/2 mile away, it's insanity to try it.
  3. ...more rain. Stay dry, Arizona brothers.
  4. I should grow it out for halloween. :D
  5. Old Canon 5D with a nice lens.
  6. Ain't gonna be this chinky bastard.
  7. Same as DPMS, usually Cerro Forge or Anchor Harvey. Their 308 uppers are made out of custom extrusions and 308 lowers are billet (except the new G2, which looks like a forging)
  8. PSA AR-15 forged uppers come from Anchor Harvey.....not sure about their 308.
  9. Dude, it's a ZOOM LENS. I've ranged it with the LRF and it's 723 yards (to the closer of the two highlighted in red).
  10. That was my thoughts too. :D That's the crap ideas I get when working at the shop on weekends where it's all deserted. :D Pissed off enough at the machinery... might as well pack it up and go home.
  11. If their barrels come with a bolt, use that bolt. It should be headspaced correctly. Otherwise if it doesn't, send them a bolt. :D
  12. 1. This is the edge of the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport. 2. The "emergency response center" for the airport shares the same street as my shop. That means, the po-po, fire, even DHS (CBP), ail within 1/2 mile. 3. I can no longer sprint for more than 200 yards before I pass out. hmmm
  13. Materials, and matched properly to the barrel so that the headspace is correct.
  14. There are two old air force sight-in butts (see below) about 700 yds from my shop.... pretty tempting to walk out there and see if they're in good enough shape to shoot in. Question is... will I get myself into trouble for shooting there? LOL >:D
  15. Not even close!
  16. I got some 30-06 LC Match brass mixed in with the lot... looks remarkably identical, just longer.
  17. Fai hunder dorra!!!
  18. Great trade! That's a WIN!
  19. It's stalled out. The "healthy" parts seem to be stuck on pretty good.....
  20. ...and use a good bolt.
  21. Black thumb is evolving - I can gross my wife and kids out by sticking it in front of their faces.
  22. Billet ones tend to be more consistent IF the machining operations are well planned and the critical cuts are done in as few operations as possible. Forged lowers can equal that of billet lowers but again it's really dependent on how it's been completed. In fact, forged lowers may have better grain structure due to the forging process because the metal is "flowed" by the forging pressure so the crystalline grains are lined up right. Most billet lowers are machined out of bar stock which has a linear grain pattern. It's really a toss up, but really everything with fit/finish is dependent on the final machining.
  23. Next time we're shooting in the desert, I'm bringing an empty 55-gal drum.
  24. Oh derp. Pardon me. Can't see shît on my phone.
  25. Even the bolt?
