Spent 4 hours at the range today working on breaking in the new Sig, the 300 BLK and spending more time with the 308. Zeroing in the 300 BLK with subsonics at 50 yds. Mix of Remington 220 and hand reloads. Hornady 208gr A-Max, 11.2 gr AA1680

Montana did something similar (MFFA) and they backed off when BATFE started pushing on them. Picked up a bunch of Nosler Custom Competition 30cal 220gr HPBT factory seconds Comparing the factory seconds with the factory "firsts". Don't see a difference in quality except the 2nds have small irregularities in the meplat size (varies a tiny bit in the batch). Don't think it matters since I'm reloading 300 BLK subs for plinking with them. The "good one" is on the left. The factory 2nd is on the right. Sorry - pic is bad (cell phone). Install shims, followed by crush washer. Then install the muzzle device and tighten it hand tight - it should be about 1/4-1/2 turn from the correct position. If it isn't, then try a different washer or add/remove washers until it's right. You can then tighten it up to the correct angle and everything should be peachy.
