You'll need a stnadard rifle buffer and a DPMS-308 length buffer + spring (the armalite AR10 buffer is a standard rifle buffer which is too long) for the PRS stock to work.
Nice rifle!!
.... I had the Nikon M-308 BDC and wasn't too happy with it. The exit pupil sizing isn't quite right so you spend more time fighting the "black shadow ring" effect than getting a good sight picture. Uncharacteristic of the Nikon IMO. It also came with a 20MOA Nikon mount but that mount sucked (can't take off and put back on without requiring a complete re-zero).
Brought it back to Cabelas and exchanged it for a Vortex Viper PST 6-24x50 FFP MRAD. Great value for the money IMO. You may want to check out the 4-16x50 FFP version of the Viper PST. Not sure what you want to do with the rifle though. Short range or long range? I also have a Burris FF-III piggybacked on the scope tube just in case I need it....plus the MBUS Pro for iron-sight only matches.
Followup question - if you change from one barrel to another how much does the zero shift? I expect it to shift by quite a bit due to the variances between barrel. That probably means a separate zeroed scope for each barrel.
Now thinking about stacking the tolerances between the QD barrels and each matching scope's own QD mount ring .... probably adds up to 1.5MOA in the worst case scenario.
I've seen several "Quick Disconnect" barrel solutions starting to hit the market. I think that's the new thing. :D
Wonder if/how much the zero shifts after a takedown-reassembly.
Looks like I'm going with the White Hat. I carry it in the SoB, with a left hand holster, for a palm out draw, and the barrel of the gun fits nicely just above my ass crack.
Not on a university campus...a large university..... everyone just freaks out and run around in circles.....next thing you know campus police (I work alongside them) starts coming.
