    HSM M118LR

Thanks for the review... was considering picking up some of the HSM 175's to try.
  2. JB Weld time!!! :)) :)) :)) :)) :)) :)) :))
  3. Stuck the bits into my mini drill press and deburred/cleaned the primer pockets in next to no time. Great tool like you said, everything stows away in the handle. Nothing to lose. Dunno ... gonna be swamped this week and next so not sure when I'll make it out to the range.
  4. I sold my M3 couple weeks ago.... ;)
  5. Maybe wait for black friday sales? It's just two weeks or so away....
  6. Gonna see if he will answer my questions tomorrow. Stay tuned. :)
  7. Glad I had picked up this from Sportsman's the other day. Saved me a trip. Thanks everyone for your help. Finally done reloading the 308... total yield - 99 rounds.
  8. Ah thanks. I did deburr/cleanup the primer holes on the LC and everything went smoothly - 32 rounds in under 10 minutes. Barnes 175 gr BTHP, Fed 210 primers, 46.0 gr of CFE223. Can't wait to test it out at the range.
  9. What does a "military crimp" look like? Is it a circular crimp around the primer hole instead of the 4-line "box" crimp that I sometimes see on 5.56? If so the LC brass is military crimped and I'll have to prep those better then.

  11. Pretty much depends on where you're doing the shooting. At the range nobody seems to bat an eyelid. Out in the desert, the GFD, sheriff, border patrol, etc are paranoid, especially with all the drug runners/human smugglers shooting anyone with a uniform these days. I can't really blame them for being heavy handed. My next door neighbor and some friends went shooting out in the desert and they got buzzed by the sheriff's chopper.....

    Hello

    Welcome from AZ!
  13. Speaking of ramen, this stuff is great!!! It's a little spicy so be warned. I order them in boxes ($9+ for 12) through Costco business....
  14. ....unless you're in AZ. It's almost a free-for-all out here.
  15. For the 308, especially if you're carrying a heavy one (10+ lbs) with a fixed stock, long(er) barrel, stay with a 2-point. Single point on something that big/heavy turns it into a nutbuster.
  16. Nothing wrong with eating ramen! Nice job on the SPR.
  17. haha true. Even if you guys PM'ed me it'll pass through NSA anyways. LOL.
  18. Should I be making this list private?
  19. Came across this on Backpage.com and got a good chuckle out of it. Wonder if the seller got a black eye and decided to sell it. Here's the post...not sure how long it's gonna stay up. http://phoenix.backpage.com/SportsEquipForSale/1300-dpms-lr-308-ar-10-style-dpms-recon-in-762x51-nato308cal/25705899
  20. Wish I could get mine that low... I'm down to about 1/4" As long as there's no contact, you'll be fine.
  21. Will post price b4 deciding what to do next.
  22. Yep... I picked up an RCBS lube pad and Case Lube-2 earlier today and everything is as smooth as butter. Like SS mentioned, minimal lube on the inside. Light lube everywhere else and no more fighting with the press. :D Another issue... every once in a while, I get a stubborn primer that doesn't want to fully seat, so it sticks out past the case bottom by about 0.02-0.03"... wondering if I can get a hand priming tool and fix them. I'm tumbling them with a rouge-walnut polishing compound (I got like 30 lbs of the stuff sitting on my shop floor). Everything comes out shiny and new. :)
  23. Pre-orders start on Saturday. Lets make a head count and I'll see what kind of deal he'll give me. Nothing is final - I'll keep everyone in the loop and you still have the option to back out after I get a definite price. 24. The problem is determining who has it installed on their guns. Hard to see if it's there or not just by external inspection. Supposedly very controllable, according to the guys who designed it. Easy to do short 2-3 round bursts controllably. He also mentioned that it's more accurate than full auto because of the finger mechanics and allows you to maintain a better sight picture (his description, not mine).
