  1. I always use plugs and muffs at the range. Unfortunately, the range I use had to put sheets of plywood in front of the firing line to make sure you don't shoot over the target backstops. Get a lot of sound blown back in your face. I use Walker Razor electronic plugs under Brownell muffs.

  3. I have both and reload. For SHTF, definitely x39. Lots of ammo available. Here's a question, why couldn't you load x39 for suppressed? Then you would have cheap stuff to shoot all day and suppressed when you need to. The same suppressor should work with x39 and 300.
  4. Stag has left handed guns and parts. I built my 300 BO with their lefted upper/lower set.
  5. There are people on here that know a lot more about this stuff than I do but it looks like both sets of groups are opening up as the powder charge/velocity goes up. You might try a different powder. I ran a group of reloads ranging from 41 to 44.5 gns of Varget through my .308 bolt gun and everyone shot at or below to moa. That is better than the rifle has ever done before.
  6. Wash, I guess you were feeling faint from sticker shock. I'm pretty sure they all had optics of some sort (not that it matters at those prices). I just wonder who buys rifles in that price range. Not any body that I know. As far as the cans go, they only had a few but I bet they can get you anything you want. Or you can go directly through The Silencer Shop.
  7. Didn't really check it out that close. But i didn't see anything big enough to put your hand in. I did see a screen for the fingerprints. Or maybe it was a trapdoor? hhhhhmmmmmm. I wonder.
  8. Hey Wash, finally made it by Modern Outfitters today. The kiosk is there. Photo and prints. They make really nice AR-15's but no big bores right now. They said they are coming soon. The are also venturing into high precision bolt guns. From their description, they are going to be tack drivers. Not much in the way of gun parts, but they can hook up with suppressors, optics, etc. Nice friendly guys too. You should definitely go check it out.

  10. Where's Darwin when you need him?
  11. What are friends for?
  12. Hey Wash, I'll do that. If I run into your wife, I'll tell her you said she can have whatever she wants.
  13. Nice to see some good press for college atheletes
  14. Welcome from a fellow Texas Aggie.
  15. Wash, you had to post that here? Now I'm screwed too. That's not very far from my office. I'll have to go take a look.
  16. I love my XDM. Fit my hand better than any of the others I tried. I also like the the double safety system. And since I shoot right and left handed, the ambi mag release is a plus.
  17. Broke down and bought a SL-100. I'll see how well it works next time I go to the range.
  18. According to a quick search of the internet, Germany is considered one of the most restrictive gun control countries in the world. If they can't stop a terrorist from striking with a gun, how can Hitlary expect to make us safer with gun control.
  19. Thanks. I was wondering because their Natchez pricing for .30-06 brass is a lot cheaper for SSA than other brands.
  20. Anybody know who makes the brass for Silver States Armory?
  21. I'm looking for a good bore sighter with will work with the 308AR and AR-15 platforms. Any suggestions?

  23. Wow, I can't think of any way it could shift like that if the lugs are tight. I would definitely take it back.
  24. Is there any play in it? Can you move it front to back?
  25. There are a lot of good suppressors out there. AAC being one of the best. I went with the YHM Phantom Titanium QD. I really like it.
