  1. Well, I did some research. Ended up going the CMP route. All of the paperwork went out yesterday. Bad news is that last week the wait time was 2-4 weeks. Now it is 3-6 months. Wonder what changed.
  2. I've got an M&P Shield for my carry weapon. It is a nice accurate pistol.
  3. SS, sorry, I missed the first part of your post about TE and ME. I'm trying to take this slow and sift through everything. I'll definitely look at the CMP angle.
  4. Unforgiven, I'm changing the flash hider for a QD muzzle break so that I can use my suppressor on it. Dane, I was wondering if a heat gun would work. I haven't had a chance to work on it. It may be next week before I can get to it.
  5. I've been watching them on gunbroker. There are a lot of CMP and a lot of WWII rifles with early 50's barrels. The prices are around $1,200.00 give or take. Stocks are usually pretty rough but the metal parts seem to be in pretty good shape. To me, as long as it shoots good, I think I would prefer the used look.
  6. M1 Garand has always been on my bucket list. I'm about to have a little extra money and want to find one. What are the important things to look for? I know the TE and ME are important. What else?
  7. I'll give that a try.
  8. I tried to remove the flash hider on my Coyote Carbine upper over the weekend. It would not budge. Does RRA use a thread locker when they install them? Advice on how to get it off?
  9. That's some nice work. Looks beautiful.
  10. Do you have an overall length gage like this : http://www.midwayusa.com/product/479963/hornady-lock-n-load-overall-length-gage-automatic-lever-action That is the best way to check cartridge oal. Start .050" shorter than you measure.
  11. Welcome to the forum.
  12. I would be interested in a Law Adapter!
  13. Congrats to Denver. I was actually rooting for Carolina. Peyton did his job but he didn't win the game for them. If he's smart, he'll go out on top. After all those sacks, I bet he does. That was a game of mistakes. The team with the fewest (Denver) will almost always be the team that wins.
  14. Welcome from east of Dallas. There are lots of good triggers out there. Geissele and Timney just to name a couple.
  15. Another welcome from Texas. I use these vise blocks for my builds: http://www.plastixrevolution.net/ They work really well.
  16. I've used Ergo grips on all my builds. There are lots of grips out there that will fit your needs.
  17. Another welcome from Texas
  18. Glad to hear you had such great results.
  19. Definitely interested in the LAW. Don't know much about the trigger.
  20. Planeflyer21, received the package today. Happy Happy Happy. Great doing business with you.
  21. I have their upper receiver block. It works well. Very durable.
  22. Arizona scores but I don't think they can stop Carolina. I doubt Denver will be able to stop them either.
  23. 87 gn bullet at 3,000 fps/1739 lb-ft definitely has more punch than 5.56. It's even be a little better than 6.8 SPC. And only requires a barrel swap to switch from 5.56.
  24. I know its a long shot but the round on the right might be a Sharps 25-45. If you watch the video, they look almost identical. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1JJNPJiRBlU
  25. Nice job. Let us know how it shoots.
