  1. Mine is threaded and it is just screwed on I adjuster the focus by how far it went on, didn't make much difference in focus but changed the size of the rifleings a bit. The Gas ports on both the LR308 and the M1A looked okay, haven't used it on the .223 Mini 14 yet.
  2. Yep,with those LEDs you can use this thing where the sun don't shine!!!🤗did you use the 90 degree side view mirror attachment?
  3. Hey ours in Pampa, Texas, was also MOhawk back before area codes I remember when cigarettes went to 50 cents a pack, I said it is time to quit smoking and I did in the fall of 1976. My youngest daughter was 5 years old.
  4. Took pictures just on Vacation or at Christmas and at an occasional family reunion "Hey Mom don't forget to get a roll of 120 film for the Kodak, when you go to the drug store"!
  5. OKAY HOW OLD ARE YOU?
  6. I use mine (Teslong 0.20) a lot I also have a Teslong.335 " Edoscope with a 25' cable. use for drain pipes and behind walls. I use it for .50 cal and above (shotguns). It gives a good picture of chambers etc. I don't use a smart phone but use a Windows 10 desktop tower and a Windows 10 HP Envy laptop. Just plug it in a port and click on Camera, no special software with windows 10, I use it to check the bore and the internal of the gas ports. bolt face when in battery. It is a very handy tool for $50. I haven't seen the need for "a good one. . . " so far like a Hawkeye same camera same picture $200 up to $1500 If you can afford beer, meat, gasoline and ammo, you can afford one.
  7. Not that I really remember but there may be a picture of a brotherly butt hug somewhere around here, Hey didn't 'dem boys from Menny-Soda whupup on them Aught-to-have-burned Tiagers today? It didn't sit too well wid 'Dem ES&P&N guys, they must of believed all that hoopla that the sports media did by rateing Auburn #12 and Menny-Soda #18 in the nation. BTW H A P P Y N E W Y E A R ! 🔊🔊
  8. This may have been posted here before but I don't remember, not that I remember 50% of what I do anyway. . . .: I don't trip over things, I do random gravity checks. I don't need anger management. I need people to stop ticking me off. Old age is coming at a really bad time. When I was a child I thought Nap Time was a punishment ... now, as a grown up, it just feels like a small vacation. The biggest lie I tell myself is ... "I don't need to write that down, I'll remember it." Lord grant me the strength to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change things I can and the friends to post my bail when I finally snap. I don't have gray hair. I have "wisdom highlights". I'm just very wise. My people skills are just fine. It's my tolerance to idiots that needs work. Teach your daughter how to shoot, because a restraining order is just a piece of paper. If God wanted me to touch my toes, he would've put them on my knees. The kids text me "plz" which is shorter than please. I text back "no" which is shorter than "yes". I'm going to retire and live off of my savings. Not sure what I'll do that second week. When did it change from "We the people" to "screw the people"? Even duct tape can't fix stupid ... but it can muffle the sound. Why do I have to press one for English when you're just gonna transfer me to someone I can't understand anyway? Of course I talk to myself, sometimes I need expert advice. Oops! Did I roll my eyes out loud? At my age "Getting lucky" means walking into a room and remembering what I actually came in there for.
  9. It may have been a "suicide and I'm taking some folks with me" thang, it is becoming a popular thang, seems to me.
  10. Here is a link to one of the best articles on the MIL/MOA/INCHES I have seen. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=14&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwiUnoiVjeDmAhVDXM0KHeHvD3kQFjANegQIARAG&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.longrangeshooting.org%2Farticles%2Fmoa-and-mils-explained&usg=AOvVaw16YXA8Y2Q67Vp4IVKhNZ4q
  11. Now for you guys ,like me, with a dab of hearing loss from too much Pow Ping thump and/or VAROOOOMing With the volume control turned up the Walker Razor thin electronic muff acts like a hearing aid. I can't hera the living room TV audio over here in my gun/computer room, but with the muff volume turned up I can hear the TV! You can't determine the direction of the sound, it is omnidirectional. BTW: The American flags are velcroed on , they come detached in the blister pac.
  12. Different strokes for different folks ! Happy New Year!
  13. Yes Merry Christmas everybody, From the old codger and his 80 year main squeeze, from Promontory Poverty Hill out here in Comanche County Texas, It is going to be sunny and 70 degrees so it will be steaks and chicken breasts off the grill, with potato salad, coleslaw and corn on the cob with peach pie for our traditional Christmas Dinner. Oh BTW please remember that "Jesus is the reason for the season" May The Good Lord Bless and keep you all.
  14. Max - Force, Besides the changing the original trigger to a drop in one, About the only other thing I needed to change with my factory built Gen I DPMS LR308 Oracle was that I added a cheap Bushnell Ar308 BDC scope I got on sale, it came without sights. The only thing I did (still has the original hand guard) is add a front sling mount, for a sling and or a bi-pod. I did order a rubber butt pad for the stock from Amazon. I also got a G. David Tubb flat recoil/buffer spring but it is still in the package, the original works okay. Later I ordered a Magpul Mag, after I got the original DPMS mag working with a little tweaking for the 145 grain FMJ. The only bad reports you usually here on here and other AR forums is because the AR Rifles that work out of the box never get reported, there must be hundreds of thousands that work from the start. Also you do have to break them in correctly, just follow the owners manual, many don't ever read the manual or lube them up and do a proper break in process. I doubt that those freaks that use an AR for mass killings ever even had a FTF or whatever.
  15. Shetch, are you talking about Honeywell Howard Lights disposable ? From NSI ? I have used them with non electronic over the ear muffs.
  16. I know what you are going thru 392, between the M1s, the 105 howitzers a d the 175 SPs and the Diesel engines in the oilpatch, If I hear anything high pitched it is inside my noggin.
  17. Okay I saw your little So-called December message, when are we gonna see the JOKE?
  18. Amazon does have an olive drab pair of these for $44.22, no flag. The ones with flag are patriot black for $33.62. Don't ask me why the same model of muffs have such a wide price range, I have no Idea unless it is supply and demand, after all Amazon is a capitalistic outfit. LOL here is one of the reviews: 0331 Machine Gun instructor here. These are great! May 7, 2016 Color: Flat Dark EarthVerified Purchase USMC Machine Gun instructor checking in. We conduct a machine gun shoot once a month, firing 5.56, 7.62, 50 cal, and 40mm grenades. We routinely shoot over 15,000 rounds per machine gun range. I have had these muffs for the last 6 ranges and they are fantastic! They work as advertised and protect my hearing from full auto machine gun fire from less than 3 ft away. The batteries last a while (I keep the volume about half-way, which makes normal conversation sound normal.) I wear them for about 8 hrs. at a time and they are as comfortable as a $60 pair of muffs should ever be. They do not interfere with cheek weld or any shooting position I have used. Walkers Game Ear Razor Slim Electronic Muff should serve any shooter well if they are looking for cheap, reliable, sound amplifying ear pro. My pair has been going strong for literally hundreds of thousands of rounds. These are a solid deal and I recommend them to anyone who inquires about them. Pros: - Long battery life. Only requires two AAA batteries that are included and easy to change. - Fantastic hearing protection. I work with several people who have more expensive, "tactical" ear-pro (Pelters, etc.) that can't suppress the .50 cal report. These Walkers muffle all gunshots regardless of how loud they are or how close I am to them. - Conversations are distinct and easy to hear. I can hear radio traffic without having to remove ear pro. Big plus. I can even turn them up and hear conversations several hundred feet away! Great for big ranges. - They even have a standard headphone jack if you want to talk on your phone or plug up your iPod and mow the lawn or something. Cons: - The fit is good, but if you are talking or moving your jaw sometimes the seal will break and allow a gunshot sound to get through. This is minimal and could be due to the shape of my head and/or the position I wear them. If you sweat much this problem is compounded as the seal is now wet and easier to be disturbed. As I said this problem is minimal and not easily repeatable, doesn't detract from the rating for me. -They are not omni directional. It is difficult to tell where sound is coming from. The sound is clear and amplified, just deceiving in which direction it came from. For my particular job this is no big deal. If you need to know what direction the sound came from, these are not the hearing pro for you. -THEY DO FIT UNDER THE STANDARD ACH HELMET, but not well.( I wear a Medium) It is not designed to fit under this helmet (as far as I know) and the fact that they even do with minimal pad adjustment is really more of pro. If you don't wear a helmet when shooting, disregard, they fit great. -Thick eye pro frames will disrupt the ear seal if placed over the frame. If you put them on over your eye pro because you forgot to remove them, the pressure feels like Leonidas trying to drive his spear through your head. You will only do this once. I have some thin frames now but I just rest the frames on top of the ear muff. If I had to do rigorous movement, they might fall off, but they haven't yet.
  19. The ones in my picture are: Walker's Razor Slim Electronic Muff, Amazon shows several different colors and styles under the Walker's Razor Slim Electronic Muff item, and several different prices for different colors and logos, the ones I ordered are black with an American flag patch. These are the less expensive at $33.62 each, some are $39 depends upon which thumbnail you click on.
  20. Are these the ones you bought ARtrouper? they are $33.95 at Amazon.
