  1. I saw it while looking for a recoil spring for a.40 Witness Compact.
  2. Anyone using these DPM recoil reduction systems on a LR308 carbine?
  3. Received some new genuine Colt 45APC 7 round magazines from CDNN by USPS. They had to come all the way from Abilene, 80 miles. They are on sale for $8 and change

    Ice fishing

I did the same ice thing up in Wichita county Texas when I was a kid. Not many times does the ponds freeze hard enough to skate on up there, or here. Yes, exactly as I remember and I think I probably was 20 or so years ahead of you young whipper-snappers! My kids did the same stuff in their time, one of my sons rode his sister's 20" Banana seat out in the middle of a pond and walked home to get his brother and a rope to retrieve the yellow bike.

  6. Got my first ever Crimson Trace G 401G set of grips for Govt model 70 series 45 cap and got it installed, hardest part was getting the four batteries installed, they fit tight, the green laser is strong and right on with the irons. Cleaned and oiled the old Colt, put in a new 16# Wolff recoil and trigger spring, checked the extractor and the old gal is ready for a range trip. I bought the pistol from Carter's in Houston used in 1982. It was my car gun till I retired in 97. I used it to qualify for my Texas CDL the 3 times I had to shoot 2018 is the first time I got my License to carry without attending a class and shooting.

  8. As of now 01/22/2018 Amazon Prime is $99 for a year and entails more benefits than free 2 day shipping. Since I use Amazon Fire HD tablets Prime is an everyday thing. We live 40 miles from a Wal-Mart or McDonald's so we order every thing except fresh meat, fresh produce and frozen and refrigerated stuff from Amazon. Delivered to our front door by USPS FEDX or UPS. It saves miles and gasoline.
  9. Thanks 98, I was able to find all of the Dalton Fury books on Amazon for my Kindle Fire HD, downloaded it for $9.99!
  10. Did our side win? I kinda like it when our side wins like Iwo Jima and all of them Tom Clancy movies (Hunt for Red October)

    Football

I like the Vikings head coach and also the Saints head coach, both are former Cowboy assistant coaches. The Saints sure messed up on that last play. It was a great playoff game.
  14. So you installed the BUIS yourself, since the Oracle didn't come with sights? The most effective thing you can do after a proper installation of a scope on the upper is to put in a good aftermarket fire control system . A Giesiele (ignor my spelling) or a drop in Timney, I put a drop in that was a group special a couple of years ago along with their charging handle. Forgot the iron sights with the original Oracle gas block.
  15. ROBO, It looks like a few remote controlled Claymores mounted on either side of your solar powered 54 LED motion detection security lights would complete the project.
  16. Maybe you just haven't noticed but there are a whole $hitpot of us DPMS owners of factory built rifles, we are just coming out of the closet amongst all of the many build-it-from parts guys.
  17. Yes I would remove the bolt and bolt carrier of my reassembled DPMS LR308 and take pictures of an inserted loaded magazine or two with different styled and weight 7.62 and.308 rounds to see how they align with the feed ramp.
  18. Way to go Angel, I have had worse meals one I remember was back in 1952 while I was working for an old hermit fence builder. He said it was boiled squirrel, but it was really cattle stampeded Amarillo, no salt, pepper or Tabasco.
  19. Well maybe you will feel more at home here. I am an old brown shoe Marine that traded my US rifle M1 Cal 30 for a M14 7.62 NATO and the Matel M16 was just an Army pop gun when I left active duty. I never had one except I did order a Sterling 5.66 Stamped metal rifle and kept it as a Demo when I was in the gun selling fixing busness in 1980, didn't like it and sold it to a young hippie. I only have been in the DPMS Oracle LR308 crowd for 4 years, kinda like it, been studying it and doing some mods on it, new trigger, charging handle, ETC. using my Arkansas stones and 400 grit emery cloth to polish out some rough places, but I also bought a Springfield M1A NM rifle, First new one I have ever bought. I have scoped both of them. Didn't have any trouble from the DPMS after I found out it needed to be lubed up really good. Hang with these guys, they are good.
  20. Welcome from an old brown shoe Marine in Central Texas.
  21. Welcome.
  22. every female cat-guy wants to do it the easy way, and some female cat-vendor wants to sell something the easy way. I do shoot a percussion 50 cal.CVA Mountain rifle rather than a flintlock ...and everypusssey website setter-upper wants to keep me from saying Pusssey
