Well maybe not so much with a gas operating system as in the long barrel recoil system of a old Browning semi-automatic or Franchi shotgun......which I was thinking about.

One thing some folks forget is that the semi-automatic AR needs to have a good solid sholder, or stiff arm and hand behind rhe rifle when it fires in order to properly recycle. The BCG won't function if the rifle recoil is allowed for the entire rifle to move back in recoil....JMHO

I try not to think too hard about ghosts, electricity, voodoo heaxes and other stuff I can't shoot, stab or strangle. Ha!

I wonder, did they use real american mud , but isn't middle Eastern, and Asian mud different? ....makes no real difference, we will probably be using real American mud when we need our ARs NEXT!

glad to see another lr308 DPMS shooter in The Lone Star state. I thought I had sold my LR 308, but the guy didn't pass my background check. he wouldn't show a Texas drivers license, and I wasn't really ready to sell the rifle, it is barely broken in and shoots better with every magazine.

NJ is a different story from Texas we can buy a new LR308 Oracle new in the box for $700. The one I have is one built in Nov. 2014. It was built a couple weeks before I bought it. Not gen II.

Personally I think the rule that the trigger finger must be straight outside and along the trigger guard is for newbies. Mine goes inside the trigger guard as soon as the pistol-revolver clears the holster....I know I am old, older, oldest school and a brown shoe Marine to boot. If I have to pull, something needs a couple of shots..NOW! By the way I have never shot anything that didn't need shooting. One of my Marine buddies also was a LEO and he shut down a pool hall fracus by drawing and accidently fireing his service revolver, the round went thru the wood floor right between the feet of a big bad guy with a butcher knife....that stopped the fracus before it got bad. Sometimes you need a little devine intervention. That Montana accident scene was a cluster-fhack from the start with the car stopped on the side of the road and being "worked by" Troopers. Don't drive in Montana in the winter. Do they still not have a speed limit, just "safe and prudent"? The trucker was a dork!
