  1. Rare Breed is taking Garland and the ATF to court. If you want to plow through a lot of legaleze here is the lawsuit. https://theinfidel.co/blogs/rare-breed-news/rare-breed-triggers-llc-v-garland-et-al-3-2022cv00085-atf-doj-new-lawsuit
  2. A bit like the modern equivalent.
  3. Oh I am well aware! I have one for my 5.56/300 BLK.
  4. I didn't know that maglula made one for 7.62X39. I'll have to look into one for my grendels. Edit: 30 minutes later one is on the way from Midway. On sale to boot. Thanks
  5. The 6 of 6arc is 6mm = .243 Its basically a 6.5 Grendel necked down to 6mm.
  6. Ahhhhh! #5 kid in the oven Or a blessed little tuber
  7. Not knowing what @Matt.Cross with #5 means, but knowing that's an ultrasound image, what the heII is that?
  8. @MJV83 One of these is what you need to gauge your resized brass to make sure its within spec. Take a resized case..plunk it in..and you can instantly see if the shoulder is bumped back far enough. The other option that gives you a cutaway view of what is going on inside the gauge is the Sheridan.
  9. ^^^ What JBMatt said right there. Another blatant plug: Hornady collet bullet puller. Buy the proper sized collets for your calibers and you are set. Adjusted properly it won't even leave a mark on the pulled bullets.
  10. Hi and welcome. You didn't mention what kind of press you had, but priming can be faster and easier if done off the press. Using any kind of hand primer gives you the feel of how much pushing pressure is needed to seat the primer. Priming is the last quality control check for your newly processed brass. Little to no pressure indicates a loose primer pocket which can then be immediately dealt with by putting that case aside and gently pushing the primer back out, then tossing the case into the recycling bucket. A universal depriming die is perfect for this. You asked for suggestions, here is a blatant plug. Lee Bench Prime: I can do around 500 cases in about 1/2 an hour. Same feeling of priming pressure, same last quality check, NO cramped hand muscles, aching joints, or aggravating arthritus. Mine is screwed to a piece of 1X10 pine that is then screwed to my bench when its needed.
  11. Ummm. Just found these. https://www.sarcoinc.com/ar15-m16-long-flash-hider-with-slots/ https://www.sarcoinc.com/ar15-m16-long-flash-hider-with-holes/ Tossing out examples
  12. More than likely.
  13. That doesn't answer my first question. Pinned or clamped? It makes a difference for your options and how difficult the change over will be.
  14. How close to the gas block can you go to do what? The uninformed about upcoming project want to know!
  15. Is the fsb pinned on or a clamp on? If its a clamp on no problem, take it off like any other gas block and replace it. If its pinned on, once you have the pins out and the fsb off you are going to have two half moon shaped cut outs on the bottom of your barrel where the fsb pins went. That is what made me decide to cut the fsb when I free floated my Colt AR15. I punched out the pins, pulled the fsb, chopped off the sight and the bayonet lug, then rounded the upper edges and painted it with high temp grill paint. I figured I had a perfectly functioning gas block so why not use it, and no ugly holes in the bottom of the barrel The project was also kinda fun.
  16. Unopened jug. Face to face sale. I'm in northern WI. $325
  17. https://fieldethos.com/the-ultimate-game/?utm_source=Field+Ethos&utm_campaign=d5766d26ee-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2022_04_29_10_01&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_ec58060b67-d5766d26ee-389293405&mc_cid=d5766d26ee&mc_eid=1f20a81f81
  18. 4 # of trailboss will last one heII of a long time. I grabbed up 6 bottles of it as the panic started and even loading 400 rounds of my 110 grain subs for my RARR 300 BLK I barely got into it. At 4.4 grains/bullet it goes a long way. What do you have in mind?
  19. Sure! Its in the one I didn't read. That figures. Thanks
  20. We?? Who is this We fella? If this is a team effort, if you supply the rifle, I'll supply the 308 brass to experiment with. If the experiment goes bust you still have a dandy rifle and I'll still have brass. Sounds good to me! See my post on the first page. "No I don't need another rifle! Just curious is all." Where did you find that 8.6 BLK is spawned from a 6.5 Creedmoor? For the sake of enquiring minds want to know, I'll pull out a once fired and FL resized case of each one and measure them up. Stay tuned for details.
  21. 308 ---> 6.5 ----> If I'm looking at the diagrams correctly the Creed's case wall is slightly less tapered than the 308. I'll now return you to your regularly scheduled 308AR forum thread.
  22. Picture from that article.
  23. So you couldn't cut down a 308 case and achieve the same result? Chop it down and run it through a 8.6 BLK sizing die, just like we do with .223 to 300 BLK? No I don't need another rifle! Just curious is all.
  24. Is that what it is? How is that so different than a 338 Federal besides the 1:3 twist?
  25. How about a nice and just coming out 8.6 Blackout?
