Thanks for sharing but when I click on the link I get "page not found" on Armalite's website. The pdf link worked. Thank you <thumbsup>

Speaking solely from my personal experience and weapon, I had no FTF due to light hammer strength (or strikes) but then I have the standard AR15 FCG. I don't even remember who's it is. I think it's Spike's standard FCG. I do have the caliber-specific 7.62x39 bolt and firing pin. When the lousy ASC mags functioned it hit the Wolf / Tulammo / Bear commie ammo just fine every time. I do plan on replacing the FCG in this weapon and will most likely use the red 4.5 lbs, POF that I have which has been collecting dust. I hope it hits hard enough because the main reasons I built this caliber is because I got the YHM upper parts cheap and the ammo in this caliber is cheaper (so far). If the POF doesn't work then I'll return to the standard parts and just deal with it. Typically, most of the folks I spoke with that have suffered hammer strike problems had gone to lighter hammer and trigger springs, etc., as a set but when they changed back to a set of harder hitting spring set their problems were solved. Mostly these are the same folks that have complained about harder primers with the 3 major calibers (556, 7.62x39, .308) that used the commie military Berdan primers. The same lighter spring sets seemed to work better or have no issues at all when they fired the softer boxer-primed US-made ammo.

AWESOME !!! <thumbsup>

From PSA; 500 rounds of 7.62 NATO ball ammo (great sale). From J&T; a Tango Down black grip with free Lucas gun oil. I'm not done for the weekend neither. Checking out the cheap optics at Primary Arms for my 7.62x39 PSA has an awesome ammo sale going right now.
-
So that tells me that with if I run a special/custom trigger I will need a minimum of 4.0 - 4.5 lbs. of trigger pull. I've heard this about Wolf and the Russian stuff before. I was told the Berdan primers are exceptionally hard compared to the boxer primers and some 3.0 - 3.5 lbs. trigger pull springs were not always hitting as hard as they needed to.
-
I'm looking forward to this next group buy of that same trigger. If the springs gave you trouble with certain ammo, which ammo was it? What is the pull weight of the spring(s) of the Mech Armor trigger?

Yes I have that type of mouse but that operation does not work on here. What you're suggesting here is the first thing I tried, and tried again, and again, and again. I don't know what else to try.

Here's another one I got today via e-mail from the Texas State Rifle Association. This event sounds like fun so I thought so of you may be interested. Here it is: "The Texas State Rifle Association fights for your gun rights in the halls of political power. Equally important, the TSRA nurtures our state's unique gun culture through youth programs, educational events, scholarships, competitions and more. Continuing our commitment to defending, extending and celebrating your Texas gun rights and heritage, we've teamed-up with the 2015 Texas Firearms Festival. This year's Texas Firearms Festival will be on November 14 and 15 at Best of the West Shooting Sports in Liberty Hill (NW of Austin). The organizers have signed-up over 30 major firearms manufacturers for the "come and shoot it," free-ammo, buy-what-you-try event. Exhibitors include Smith & Wesson, SIG SAUER, IWI, STI, Daniel Defense, Bergara, Noveske, Walther, Henry Repeating Rifles and many, many more. More than 50 companies will be selling firearms-related products and services in the Firearms Festival Retail Village. Your TSRA will be there, signing-up new members and touching base with existing supporters. This year, TSRA and the TSRA Foundation is sponsoring the Range Safety Officers (look for their orange shirts!) and The Competition Zone, where professionals and the public will compete on Action Targets' dueling trees for fun and prizes. With some 3000 shooters expected to attend (and more non-shooters), we believe that the 2015 Texas Firearms Festival is an excellent venue for the TSRA to promote our mission and expand our reach. We'd like you to join us at the 2015 Texas Firearms Festival, to enjoy the rights we've fought so hard to restore and protect. To show their appreciation, the Texas Firearms Festival is offering TSRA members a $5 discount off a standard shooter ticket. Simply click on the Eventbrite ticket purchase page. Then click on the "Enter promotional code" link toward the bottom of the box of ticket types. Enter the code "TSRA" in the box that appears and click "Apply." From there, select the discounted Saturday Shooter or Sunday Shooter (or both) tickets you'd like to purchase, and click "Register." Done! One more thing: the Texas Firearms Festival is an open carry event. If you'd like to carry your sidearm ahead of the January 1, 2016 effective date, please feel free to do so. And we'd appreciate it if you'd wear a TSRA T-shirt and/or hat to help promote all the hard work we do on Texas gun owners' behalf. For more information about the Texas Firearms Festival please contact lee@texasgunfest.com. "

Any idea why the Mech Armor trigger didn't work?

Just when I thought we might be getting dry enough here to head out the the range this 4 day weekend, we just had a ferocious downpour and we'll be floating the rest of the week. This is getting a little ridiculous, I'm going to have to take a day off just to finish my .308 and to check out these new mags. Crazy.

OK folks in the Corpus Area ... this is from the Texas Carbine Match folks at their Starry range: Texas Carbine 3Gun Match Reminder Get Ready! This Sunday, July 5th is our monthly 3-Gun Match! It will consist of 4 original courses of fire, and one 3Gun Nation Classifier, (Long Run 2). The stages will have options on how you can shoot them, so your round count could vary. You should be safe with 65 rifle, 65 pistol, and 60 birdshot #6 or smaller, lead shot only. The dog days of summer are upon us, be sure and bring plenty of fluids to stay hydrated. Stages will be fast and fun. Let all your friends know, the more the merrier! As always, the stages on match day may vary slightly from those you see online so please, read the hard copy stages closely on match day to avoid confusion and thanks in advance. If you have questions, please see our FAQ page and if the answer isn't there, email us. The weather forecast shows some chance of rain most every day this week so we'll play that game as we get closer to the weekend. But, just to be on the safe side, be sure and check your email and/or the club website before heading to the range on Sunday. If you can lend a hand with stage set up on Saturday, it will be VERY much appreciated AND you'll get a $5 discount for the match. FWIW ... This received today from the Texas State Rifle Association regarding carrying weapons in church in Texas; "Handgun Licensees in Texas Churches Yes, We can carry in Church! In 1995 when CHL law passed, Penal Code 46.035, Unlawful Carrying of Handgun By License Holder, prohibited license holders from carrying in church. ( B)(4) on the premises of a church, synagogue, or other established place of religious worship. In 1997, the Legislature added line (i) to PC 46.035 which reversed the prohibition on churches and certain other locations such as "governmental meetings". Subsection (i) reads: (i)Subsections ( B)(4), ( B)(5), ( B)(6) and © do not apply if the actor was not given effective notice under Section 30.06. This allowed churches to be treated as they are, as private property. A church has been able to post PC 30.06 since 1997 . Effective notice could also mean that a person in authority representing the church asked the licensee to leave. The net result is Texans have had access to this important form of personal protection in church for over a decade. The last attempt to prohibit licensees from carrying in church was during the 1999 Legislative session. Pastor Willard Rother, a Lutheran minister, testified against the bill saying the peace of God was not disturbed by law-abiding citizens exercising their right to personal protection. He also told the committee that he did not need help from the State of Texas with managing his church or his congregation. The measure to reinstate the prohibition never received a committee vote and that was that. Most Texas licensees enjoy the right to carry including the opportunity to carry at church if they chose. Again, this has been possible for over a decade." Again ... this is from an e-mail I received this date from the Texas State Rifle Association.

Man that really rocks. Had to check it out again. <thumbsup> Excellent pattern. I was thinking of trying my own "urbanflage" with different shades of gray. I'll check this stuff out at Primary Arms.

What do you have on order or in the mail? Part 2
GRA replied to imschur's topic in General Discussion
I've been lucky I've gotten away with spending the funds lately I've been "allowed" to spend, but I'm sure my wife would not mind me spending the money for reloading gear if I convinced her it would save some money on ammo in the long run. This definitely calls for the proper psychological approach and perfect timing. However ... if she finds out I ever bought ANYTHING made in China I will NEVER hear the end of it. Looking like Dillon may be in order. If anyone knows for sure where the other brands are made please let me know. -
