  1. That is a good deal. I've bought several boxes from them. No problems with PSA so far.

That upper alone is a great deal. If anyone here has ever considered an AR in 7.62x39 caliber this is the time to pounce on one. It is a bit steeper in price than what your average and basic 7.62x39 upper can be had for but it appears you'll get your extra money's worth with this piston system, especially shooting the cheaper foreign ammo. No modifications are needed to the average AR15 lower to run this upper.

WOW ... everything I ever wanted in a 7.62x39 AR. That is a damn nice gun. Too bad I didn't see this coming a few years ago. The piston operation with removable gas plug for cleaning just screams of brilliance. Whoever splurges for one of these will be a proud owner indeed.
  4. Excellent point. I couldn't agree more. I've been saying this to people since the OK City disaster, which I want to add the left has been a key player in getting to the absolute bottom of everything surrounding the involvement with that.
  5. Glad this is over and it turned out the way it did. Hopefully it will set an example and/or precedent for the future as that is basically the way our legal system works.
  6. That would be nice as I've seen these rounds typically average about a buck a round. I got a good price around July 4 on these from PSA and they shipped pretty fast considering they had a huge sale but that sale is over unfortunately. I'm just stocking up for when I may finally get a chance to spend a long day at the range.

    Reloading bench

What program did you use on your Macbook to do that with, may I ask? I can't seem to find the right program on this Mac laptop to work photos on to websites at all. Frustrating as hell.

My uncle was there from 65-66. From some of his stories the M16 was just starting to be properly refined in 65 and he had mixed feelings about it when he as out in the field (canopy). I think he adjusted to it by the time he rotated out in 66. Watched a video on the Tet fiasco in 1968 as it occurred in Saigon and it showed one part briefly of an ARVN in a firefight in one of the districts and his barrel was literally glowing red from the bayonet lug forward. This was filmed in broad daylight and you could see that barrel glow cherry red in the high-noon daylight. Either he had a thinner pencil barrel or was just simply firing a lot of rounds, or both, before the camera came on.

    Brilliant logic indeed.

Are these the years (1965-1966) they had pencil barrels with 1-12" twist?

    Reloading bench

Nice idea. That bench is going to be very useful.
  18. I'm staying the hell away from those people. Too much drama over simply buying gun parts.
  19. Howdy from Gulf Coast Texas. Welcome and enjoy the forum. :))
  20. Thanks for posting. Too bad they didn't extend the last one.
  21. That Project Appleseed looks both honorable and fun indeed. Never heard of it until now but it is definitely something to look forward to when I retire next year. Can't think of anything else more important to do with my time.
  22. Finally ... Got this thing together. Finally got some quality time off and got the major parts of the assembly done. PastixRevolution products are tops. I had ordered some others but they didn't work out so I sent them back. Caused more and more delay. All I'm waiting on now is my Spikes flash suppressor and a funky DPMS "Glacier" black hand guard and soaking my BCG in some Mobil 1 and then I'll be ready for the range. :)) Managed to get my last Spike's mid-length AR15 carbine done too. So far, everything seems operable and checks out. Hopefully next weekend I'll get some range time. 8)
  23. It appears the new ArmaLite website now has the shopping cart feature activated and functional. I went in late last night and added a green furniture set to the cart and took it all the way to the point of purchase and it worked. It appears that possible not all items are operable but most seem to be. Bummer ... they were out of stock on the field repair kits and the two-stage tactical trigger was hard to find in the main list but I could pull them up by item description. Prices appear to be the same as DSG but right now DSG has an extended 10% sale. Picked up the trigger assembly and field repair kit there.
  24. Happy belated birthday !!! <thumbsup>
