Picked up a nice used Tanfoglio Mossad and couple of blades.

Agreed. I can't bring myself to spend money on something that I won't use because it is too pretty. Now, I have some knives that are better suited to hard duty than others. My Gerber LMF is my beat-on knife, and shows it. Some of these pretty carbon fiber ZTs, I am not likely to beat on.

Just thought I'd thank blue109 for going oot of his way to help me find a part I was looking for. He found it on arfcom for a great price and then got the guy's contact info for me since I don't have an account. Thanks bro! Appreciate it!

It really doesn't take a lot of work to get your license nowadays. My daughter got her Tech when she was 12. I love old ham equipment! I'll send you a PM. Wow, are we talking 20 miles line of sight with just handhelds? Impressive! I know it can be done peak to peak, but usually if you are close to the ground, the curvature of the earth limits VHF/UHF comms to less than 10 miles, usually half that. Obviously if you have antennas and something to get them up in the air, then you can gain quite a bit of range.

Thought this was a decent deal for a single box price. Go ahead and school me if I am wrong. :D http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/daily-deals-new/7-62-x-51mm-nato-149gr-fmj-m80-20rds-xm80cl.html

Welcome, from AZ!

Congrats Magwa! How did your General test go? K7ADN here. Been licensed for just over 24 years. I have an Advanced class ticket, from back in the day when there was a step between General and Extra. I'm suprised there aren't more Hams on this board.

Welcome from Arizona, and thank you for serving. And don't you mean 'firefighter?' :) My dad was a career firefighter and he would always tell me, a fireman is the guy who puts coal in the locomotive.

Well, there may be a lot of dealer postings, but there isn't one place on the web where you'll find more great deals in one place. Not disagreeing with you, just saying, I wouldn't rule it out as a great place to keep an eye on things.

Agreed, thanks for reaching out to him.

The very best place to find deals on gun stuff (IMNTBHO) is http://www.slickguns.com. I'm warning you now, that place is very dangerous to your wallet!

Now if only he could have done this test with some mof the more common brakes on the market.

My '03 F250 still runs like the day it was new, even after 140K miles and plenty of off-roading. Can't see spending the ungodly money they want for a new one any time soon.

Took delivery of a DPMS CF handguard for my Sportical. Now I have to figure out how to install it, LOL.

Very cool JT! My grandkids are still little ones, but they'll be old enough to go shootin with Grandpa soon enough! I hesitate to throw this in here with all you horndogs, but here's one of my daughters out shoooting not too long ago. Also one of me shooting my wife's Keltec SU-16C just to catch the muzzle flash. PS: Yeah, yeah I talked to her about her stance. C:-)

Sucks that Trijicon doesn't see the same value in veterans who served their country prior to 9/11/ :(

I would like to thank the members of 308AR.com

Oh man, smokin' deal here. Thanks Chris! I need to check the budget and see if I can't at least get the receiver set and handguard this payday. -
Nothing at all, sir. A new R1200GS Adventure is near the top of my wishlist.

1/160 slow enough for ya? :D I can pan like nobody's business, but that results in a lower 'good' ratio. Customers like a nice sharp shot morre than they like motion. http://www.racersphoto.com/dean#h342cf962 Anywho - I have been out of it myself for a few years. Turned it over to my apprentice who makes some nice toy money with it shooting local track days.
