I forgot to add: I have found dirt/"rock" embedded into some brass courtesy of being stepped on at the range (pickup brass) and this might explain a possibility for introduction of debris into the die after being tumbled.

Usually scored dies are from dirt/debris on the brass being inserted into the die. You could have picked up some dirt from anywhere. I have done this after being extremely meticulous with my steps also. I will say that not cleaning the dies was most likely my culprit also. What I chalk it up to is that there was something still on the case after being tumbled, didn't notice the crap, and scratched my die. What I DO know is once this is done, the die will not stop etching your brass, unless you would repolish it. Better to just buy a new one. And I will back up 98's question, I am assuming you just missed typing in a step for us to read.

Shepp and 98, that sounds alot like the old advice I received from Harley riders around here that took care of their bikes. I never could understand getting on one, starting it up, and burning out from wherever you were.....then still riding like a jackass to destination. Taking your time with certain things pays off in spades.

I like the M109Rs, and I would probably kill myself on one someday.....if I would get one. I just don't have the time to devote to relearning more than one bikes' powercurve and limits. I would fuk up and forget which one I am on.....BOOM!!!!!!

Yup, I am a HD fan for my riding style. I push them a bit hard, not quite like the destructo in baggervated, but close..... There may be better out there, but I like mine......

As an aside, HD is closing roughly 1/4 to 1/3 of dealerships. Poor sales, and worse management (at the top) are to blame.....and one of my good friends is facing a move to somewhere he doesn't want to go (a HD tech, and a good one). The local dealerships (save one) don't pay worth a crap, they really cheap out on the people doing the work for them. But if you want to buy a T-shirt........you can have all sorts of help for that.😒

Solar cycles will have way more to do with our planets temperature than the minute orbital shifts. Go back and match up solar cycles with planeary temperature shifts.....and at the base of our agreement....HUMANS HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH CLIMATE CHANGE. ....well, maybe after expending all our nukes.....

Now I know I should have went to AR15 Gun Builder to really do the job right!!!!! Maybe then I wouldn't have been rewarded with a 100% functioning gun all this time, I could have done things THEIR way!!!!🤣👍

I had thought so also at first, then looked closer. The magwell gives it away, along with the design of the magazine, and the forearm.....it is round, not any form of triangular/shaped the way a FAL was back then.
