  1. Here is an interesting way to look at the bump stock ban, in Mass. or anywhere else in America. If someone turns in a newly illegal bump stock the offending government then asks, " Why did he have that bump stock? I wonder if he has a now illegal gun to put it on. Lets go knock on his door late tonight". There will have to be an official record of the bump stock being turned in, I don't doubt that it will be followed up when certain guns get banned later, because now they have a data base of potentially "dangerous people".
  2. I know that this is an old thread, but this seemed like an appropriate place to post this cartoon.
  3. Matt thank you for weighing in. Clarity in communication is difficult. I still can not find a request for me to clarify in the posts by the various admins. Perhaps a clearly stated question in a pm to me would have avoided all of this. I am familiar with bigots, as I am sure we all are given the virtue signaling that is so prevalent in the press today surronding the gun rights issue. Please see this Facebook post for an excellent piece on the issue (https://m.facebook.com/james.edmunds.790/posts/10212230910032172?src=email_notif) . James is my Virginia State House representative and I think shows excellent clarity as well as an original solution.
  4. No mystery, from his bio it is fairly obvious that he is native American. As such I feel that it is certainly no insult implied or other to him. If you are aware of history, even a little bit you will know that our country promised in most treaties with the original inhabitants of the continent to honor that treaty as long as the sky was blue and the rivers ran. I am real sure you must know that while the sky was still blue and the rivers still ran our government had lied. Does any of this sound familar? As far as your implied threat.....
  5. Sounds like you might have a little experience with this compromise thing. Is the sky still blue and do the rivers still run?
  6. NO COMPROMISE. NOT NOW NOT THEN. NO MORE COMPROMISING.
  7. This is country music................ Not sure what what his name plays.
  8. We as gun owners and lawful citizens have been giving up rights since 1938. Don't you think it is time to just say No fu*cking way? Do any of you know what is hooked to the fix NICS bill? Do you see what is in it, our government is going to send the states and others our tax $ to put as many names as possible on the list, mostly without due process, just some clerk weenie that thinks they can curry favor with their boss by putting more names on the list. Where is National Concealed Reciprocity legislation in all this, oh yeah hooked to a big loss for our community which is Fix NICS. National reciprocity has the votes to pass on its own, why connect it to anything? http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2018/03/robert-farago/fix-nics-combined-national-concealed-carry-reciprocity/ http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2018/03/11/doj-bump-stocks/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+TheFirearmBlog+(The+Firearm+Blog) http://www.alloutdoor.com/2018/03/06/gun-tax-bill-double-federal-gun-tax-quintuple-ammo-tax/?utm_source=Newsletter&utm_medium=Email&utm_content=2018-03-10&utm_campaign=Weekly+Newsletter https://gunowners.org/alert02282018.htm If this passes y'all better get ready for loud knocks on the door late one night. Sleep well tonight America, you might need the rest on another night.
  9. Our President appears to be presiding over the end of the second amendment as written. http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2018/03/11/doj-bump-stocks/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+TheFirearmBlog+(The+Firearm+Blog) This from someone smarter than I am: https://gunowners.org/alert0312018.htm https://gunowners.org/op-ed-if-you-care-about-ar-15s-then-you-should-care-about-bump-stocks.htm I don't know about the other rights groups but I have heard Eric Pratt speak twice (Liberty University) and had the opportunity to speak with him as well as observe him at close range. He and his organization appear to me to be the real thing, not that I can't be fooled as I have definitely been fooled before. The reason I say all of this is he said when this first came up in October 2017 that if we let bump stocks get banned the next things would be all semi autos, detachable magazines, and match triggers. Does it look like that action is well under way? Should we say so long to our rights? It sure looks like it from where I sit.
  10. Oh, yeah one more thing, she looks kind of like the craziest one I found and dragged home. In fact other than the tats a lot like one I dragged home. Never mind, don't believe a thing I said on the subject if the crazy in question met my criteria, female, available, and crazy as a sh@t house rat she got dragged back to the cave just like this one would probably have if the opportunity presented itself. By the way I finally acquired one that isn't crazy, it took a long time and a lot of tries, but success for the last seven years and counting.
  11. I have to be careful answering questions on this subject since I am a three time looser when it comes to picking crazy. In the past I went looking for crazy to take home, and I didn't have many hunts that weren't successful. But, and there is always a but, I really, really hope I would have been smarter than taking her on.
  12. Hell duct tape is all that is needed to red neck a bump stock. Do they think duct tape should be class III? My big question is what part of "I support the second amendment" does our president think this move represents? What's next, match triggers, detachable mags, all semi autos? Chipping away at our rights, chip, chip ,chip, every new action they take like this one, we loose something. I wonder if whenever a person goes into politics they give them a release from the oath to defend the constitution? I am sure I didn't get or seek such a release. End rant.
  13. I have always heard that we eat our own, this one was a vet and a gun owner?
  14. I didn't know Sully was rotary qualed. But if he is he surely wouldn't have crashed.
  15. I guess with this little bit of news there will be a lot more action on this part of .308. Bump stocks now class III http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2018/03/11/doj-bump-stocks/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+TheFirearmBlog+(The+Firearm+Blog)
  16. While we had our attention on one thing our president put another hole in our rights. I know I am supposed to support him but this makes me wonder what side he is really on. http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2018/03/11/doj-bump-stocks/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+TheFirearmBlog+(The+Firearm+Blog)
  17. And 98 you can't fool us the only reason you painted it was to keep it from assaulting the neighbors. We know only black rifles assault folks, you wimped out with the color in order to keep your antifa creds.
  18. By the way the PA10 now that it has a proper rifle buffer system shoots good and hits the target, twice for each pull of the trigger. Once by the bullet and close behind that the ejected shell, well at least under 100 yards. It really flings that brass foward but goes bang every time. Now remember, I told you a million times, don't exaggerate.
  19. Just so I understand, same buffer spring carbine and rifle? But the tube and buffer on AR15 and AR10 rifle are different? I need to be told a bunch of times so it will sink into the soild stone brain.
  20. I changed my entire buffer system, Armalite rifle tube, spring and only because the Armalite buffer was backordered a DPMS buffer. I weighted and measured just to be sure and the buffer was the same as the reported Armalite specs. The issue requiring wisdom or magic is now the rifle throws the brass in front of the rifle (1 oclock). With the out of spec PSA carbine buffer the brass went between 2 and 3 o clock. Do I have a problem or am I just looking for one?
  21. Not exactly the right thread but I thought I would try it here. When I received my PA10 gen 2 assembled upper and had to wait a long time for them to produce a lower with a fixed stock I sent an email asking when they would finally make it. I made a wise crack about how I hoped it would be before the warranty on the upper expired. PSA responded that as long as I didn't remove the barrel not it would be in warranty. I doubt they can be held to this but I thought it might be interesting to hear in light of how they treated herk308. I eventually bought a lower from a retail store, still PSA but at least I didn't have to deal with them directly.
  22. I still have to wonder if a cannelure isn't a good idea because it makes it clearer, quicker if setback is becoming a problem. Just a glance let's you know. I know we have been over this in the past and I am not talking about high accuracy rounds for target only use but more practical use rounds.
  23. You are right that a spec would help, less variation in the available parts. I am glad that I found this resource for knowledge on the .308AR. Without it we would really be in deep yogurt. I believe if I had found this site first I might have gone a different way to acquire a .308AR. But I will do what I can with the PA10 for now. The problem PSA has now is they have fouled their reputation by putting out sub optimal parts. See how I did that, went all diplomatic.
