The deference in the bolt catch, takedown pin and pivot pin are very obvious. The trigger group is PSAs EPT so we will see if its any better than Mill spec. It was $6 more and came with MOE grip that does not fit flush on the beaver tail. I have a hogue I will replace it with later. So here is the PA10 upgrade kit vs the Ar15 parts. As well as the trigger, hammer and grip see below

Hey all, This is going to be more of a log, of info and data over time from start to... As long as I keep the rifle. I want to build a thread that adds to the data that has already been collected by other running the PA10 on this forum. I'm curious to see if my finding over time match what others have found or if they differ. The goal I'm going to try to keep my information as accurate as possible. Findings Good and Bad. Report all the parts used in my upper and lower. What Is needed to make them work if anything. Report range and ammo information from steel case to hand loads. Report on reliability of the parts and overall as a whole firearm. Report accuracy, Ammo and parts that help if any. I will also be reporting for a 2nd PA10, my father's 20" PA 10 that he got as a complete upper and lower. If he has any problems and the fix needed if any. Also any mods done to the gun. He is a big hand loader so I will be reporting our finding on hand loads for both my 18" gun and his 20" Why do all this? I know a lot of good info is already out there about the PA 10 (thanks bfoosh and others) . I would like to just add to it, it also gives me a project to work on that's fun. For me shooting is a nice way to get away from the daily grind of life. I'm sure others on this forum feel this way too. If I take the time to document the PA10 it will help me learn and improve on this platform. That will also take time. This keeps me from buying another gun right away and that makes the wife happy. Har har . Just Kidding she is cool with it. To get started. Note this thread for my experience with PSA customer service involving my PA10. Customer service Another good PA 10 information thread. Clicky Here are my findings on the lower parts kit and any other lower parts I got. I will also list part details. The lower is a striped PSA GEN 2 From my reading you can use everything from the AR15 lpk other than (bolt catch, mag catch, takedown pin and pivot pin.) I picked the PA10 upgrade kit when it was in stock from PSA. The PA 10 upgrade it includes (bolt catch, mag catch, takedown pin and pivot pin.) So just need to buy both or piece it together. This all looks to be true BUT the Mag catch looks the same to me? see photos below. I may upgrade the Buffer spring, tube and buffer at some point. To start I wanted to use PSAs parts to unsure function. Ill break this all down into a few post to help keep track of everything. Others feel free to add any helpful information as you see fit. Parts list PSA Gen2 PA10 18" Midlength .308 WIN 1:10 Stainless Steel 15" M-lok Lightweight Upper - With BCG and CH PSA Ten-Year Anniversary AR-15/PA-10 Stripped Lower Receiver Set With Matching Serial Numbers PSA PA10 UPGRADE KIT PSA AR-15 EPT MOE Lower Parts Kit PSA PA10 Buffer Tube PSA PA10 Black Logo Buffer PSA PA10 Carbine Buffer Spring Strike Industries Multi-Function End Plate w/ Anti-Rotation Castle Nut in Black, Black See mag catch, The "Darker" one is from the 15kit.

Not really sure how both companies went about it. I would think PSA should have sent Odin the specs or an upper Ahead of time and let them build a barrel nut around the PSA upper. On the phone I asked more questions but they did not want to talk about what went on behind closed doors?? So whatever that means. Snake oil and fu fu dust.. ultimately PSA made it right, so again good job stepping up the CS.

I had a good talk with PSA today. It was a call from a supervisor. As a lot of people have thought PSA does build there uppers as the orders come in. So when I ordered the Odin upper it was just a Box of parts. PSA realized that there was a fitment issue with the PSA upper and the Odin barrel nut. They worked with Odin to get a new barrel nut that would work. The 2nd one still had problems so PSA dropped the rail and emailed all the people that had ordered it. Odin did not come up with a fix I guess. So at this point PSA is not selling the Odin upper anymore. PSA will be sending me this upper and giving me a small refund for the inconvenience. https://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-gen2-pa10-18-midlength-308-win-1-10-stainless-steel-15-m-lok-lightweight-upper-with-bcg-and-ch-516447548.html So to SUM it up, it took 9 days to get an email because they were working with Odin to try and solve the problem with the rail \ upper fitment . Here is the follow up email PSA sent me after I talked to them on the phone. So Thank you and good job on Fixing my problem PSA.

Percentage of gun owners in each state

Wow can't believe that WV is #4 sitting right next to D.C #40 and Maryland #42... I need to move. -
Just got off the phone with PSA after 34 minutes of hold time. I talked to a sales rep for 2 minutes. I gave them my order number and they said yes it is out, and a supervisor would call me tomorrow. ^Sorry for the grammatical errors. I did not proof read, and cant edit now.^ I will update tomorrow. A little disappointed right now...

Here is in a Nut shell. on march 23 I order PSA Gen2 PA10 18" Midlength .308 WIN 1:10 Stainless Steel 15.5" Odin Works Lightweight M-lok Upper - With BCG and CH -5165447974 I order as soon as it came back in stock because I had been waiting for the Odin Works upper to show back up. (it and a few others I liked) I place the order everything goes through as it should. Within a day or 2 the rest of the lower parts come in stock, I ordered them too. This week 4/2/2018 parts start showing up. Today the tracking number for the order with upper says it was delivered with a few other parts placed in the same order. I got home only to find the other parts no upper. 10 minuets latter I miss a phone call from PSA. They leave a voice mail saying there was an "inventory issue"??? just after that I get this email. PSA says they have a different upper I can have and they will refund the difference. This is all well and good but it took 9 Business days for them to realize they did not have the inventory!? I also really liked that Odin works rail I'm currently on hold. I will update.

I have c products mags and ASC (10 and 20 rd) they both seem to work well. I just hit them with a little rem oil from time to time.
-
Editing time out. About 500 rounds out of it and only a few fail to feed. I think that's more mags than anything.

Welcome from Maryland, good to see another PA10 owner.
-
Another member tested the nitrite upper and a SS upper, the SS upper proved to be more accurate. With that being said both are not match grade or anything. Both would also be fine for hunting. I Picked up the 10 year Anniversary Lowers too, i'm working on getting everything together for the PA10. I will be looking to that thread for any tricks or tips to make the gun run well. looks to be Very helpful. PA 10 info

@dubya I have the Aero Precision lightweight mount on my AR15 running a 1-4 Bushnell and I love that mount.
-
Thanks all. I too am a Maryland shooter. Maryland has all the best gun laws Maybe see you at the range some time.

I've been checking out SGammo.com they do have good prices. I picked up some cheap surp from them and Ammograb.com. This is more of a filter but works well and I have found 308 for about $0.40 rd most the time. I'll hand load for target and hunting rounds. I too will be testing the PA 10 out with surp and brass just to start. Thanks for the info.

I got the same lowers as you did. I'm about to put together an 18'' SS Because I don't think PSA sells a 16'' PA10 complete upper ?? I did not see any even in the sold out uppers, all 18" +. Maybe I missed something but you may have to go 18''. You could always start with an 18'' then just wait for a deal on a 16'' light weight barrel in the future. I think that's the rout i'll take especially if this barrel does not group well. I'll just hunt for a deal. Happy hunting!
