Most 1911s come tuned ready to run HP dont they? My Les Baer , RIA , SA all ran HP reliably although my newer production Colt 1991 had issues. Now of days im more of a Glock guy, they are simple ,ugly and loose like my ex but they give me a good time untail they blow up.

Ive only had to change one set of gas rings on an AR15 and that was on my Colt 6920 after 7500 rounds, they wernt totally shot but I replaced them anyways. I wonder what benefits these single piece rings offer?

I prefer 9mm , I like .45 too though. So many of this bull-istics articles and tests are garbage. There is no best but there is common sense, I would not run a .22 as my carry piece.

The LMT is heavy but Ive been so close to buying one several times. The MWS just feels like quality. It weighed more than the SCAR H though.

I started a similar thread over on Full30. I was reading this article from 2010 on how the Brits and Kiwis chose the LMT MWS over the SCAR H or HK 417, supposedly it outperformed the piston guns in both accuracy and reliability. Whats your take on the AR vs Scar H? The .40 S&W up untail a few years back was the most common pistol round used by LE , right? Isnt that round pretty effective at barrier penetration? Whats your opinions on the FSP, do you consider it obsolete? Seems the industry kind of moved away from ARs with fixed sights. I dont even see BUIS too much anymore ( although i still run them on my rifles).

Only animal ive shot for "fun" was coyotes and it was for bounty money. The farmers used to pay people to get rid of them. Then some yotes killed my friends dog and her pupps(one mine), it was brutal and i kind of hold a grudge. Lol
