sorry my knowledge of the RRA 308 is limited. I would stick with their 308 BCG for sure. I dont think there's anything unusual about their 5.56's When purchasing a barrel many reputable shops like Rainier and Fulton will allow you to send them your bolt and verify headspace for a nominal fee. Alternatively they If you buy a barrel and a bolt from them as a package they will check headspace as well

Well you can swap carriers as long as the bolt type matches the barrel extension. Example a DPMS carrier with an AR-10 bolt with an AR-10 barrel extension. Current Bushmaster 308's are rebadged DPMS LR-308 rifles. They are owned by the same company. Old models are based on the Rock River Arms .

This board is for Armalite AR-10's only. If your weapon is not stamped Armalite it is not an AR-10

To clarify for others. The uppers dont care what barrel you use. Match the barrel extension and your bolt. Please dont mix bolts and carriers stick with one brand 100% for the BCG. To me it's a bad idea to use an Armalite carrier with a DPMS bolt or vice versa. Someday if the weapon is sold it could be problematic for the new owner.
