  1. I have had a 92FC since early - mid 90's. It has been great weapon that just keeps on working
  2. First thought Beretta 92A1 comes close. Thats a tough price point with those specs. Does it have to be new? A 3rd generation S&W like a 5906 variant used would get you there.
  3. send it back
  4. preaching to the choir. Lets be glad they are this stupid. It could be worse
  5. Thats a typical response. Here in CT the work needs to be done out of state. To bring it in to the state and mod it would be illegal, a felony. FFL's wont even accept it
  6. That stinks. It seems the DPMS SASS barrel and gas block are unique in many dimensions. We have had other posts on the subject. Might be better served with an MI and probably half the price. That is too tight. I have never thought to actually measure the .750 dimension to see what it really measures.
  7. The original post has is pretty much outdated. The Arizona shooting has tilted the table against us once again.
  8. Armalite custom shop offers some quality barrels
  9. welcome

  18. If you have bad eyes try an EOTech before you buy it. Some eye troubles prevent proper focus on the reticle
  19. Well it's kind of reversed. Not FF has the potential of negatively affecting accuracy. Turns out it's on wikipedia
  20. $19.99 for PMAGS at Brownells.
  21. Free floating also allows a barrel it's natural undisturbed vibrations and movements throughout its temp range. You'll even see guys run a dollar between the barrel and stock on a bolt action. This is to verify wood is not touching the barrel. It's just one more thing to help a shooter wring out all the accuracy a rifle is able to achieve.
  22. i think I have reached the point where most purchases are "Just to have". I talked myself out of this gun. I will either get a P30L or HK 45 ;D
  23. Worse then that...CT is trying to one up Cali
  24. I copied someone elses post about the gun at my 22 site <laughs>
  25. jeez :o Glad you worked it out. I have both of Jerry's 1911 books. They are the best. Those who aren't familiar check them out here. When i had my Gold Cup fitted with Accu Rails the smith botched it twice. Both times the rails broke during the first mag. Finally I called Kreiger the man behind the system. He fixed it right up at no cost. The other smith never fit the barrel properly.
