  15. The P226 Elite adds an ergonomic extended beavertail, forward cocking serrations, front strap checkering, custom wood grips, and the Short Reset Trigger (SRT). SIG engineers designed the SRT to provide the same safety and action of the SIG DA/SA trigger with a reset that is 60% shorter for faster trigger return during high speed shooting. The Elite Dark is equipped with alloy grips instead of wood. The Platinum Elite also has aluminum grips. The P226 Elite line is available in 9mm, .357 SIG, and .40 S&W. The "Enhanced Elite" models take the same features common to all Elite series pistols and combine them with the ergonomic one piece reduced reach grips used in the E2 pistols.
  16. awesome
  17. I think that's what I may have been not so subtly implying ;D
  18. correct, somewhere else on the forum I detail why it's not cheaper to build it yourself. My personal best reason for DIY is I dont carry a new gun into the house. They just magically appear from within the safe and nobody has any explaining to do <laughs>
  19. i thought a woman got in the way <laughs>
  20. <laughs>
  21. FWIW hard chrome is not like bumper chrome. It is used extensively in heavy duty industrial applications. Dont sweat the peeling. That said I look forward to someone here getting the SI unit...exciting stuff, I cant wait to see it. BTW I think there's about a dozen cheesy jokes waiting to come from that post. I cant even write "Dry lube" and "Everything being polished" without hitting the gutter <laughs>
