Im trying to find OA .45 mags. I only have 6. Looks like they no longer sell to the public. I wish I knew you needed the colt 9mm. Brownells had them in stock for a while after the SHTF

A while ago I emailed Justin at Magpul and suggested a fixed stock that closely follows the lines of an extended UBR. they thanked me for my suggestion and i quote "Thanks for the suggestion Drew!" That stock looks A LOT like my suggestion.

So today Im in the local Stop & Shop and the power goes out. It is completely dark, no emergency lights. So being on a high fiber low fat diet I often have a lot of gas and I mean A LOT OF GAS. Having been in the store which was sorta busy i was clenching for a good 15 minutes. I decided that with the lights out it would be an awesome time for some relief. So there I stood with a solid 10 seconds of wind as the generator kicked in and the emergency lights came on. I did the only thing I could. There were two other people in the isle. I shot the other guy in the isle a condescending glare and looked at the lady at the end of the isle as though I was disgusted with the other guy. Thankfully there were no attachments though it was close for a second or two

Hornady - A Word on Availability
imschur replied to imschur's topic in Firearm Industry News and Gossip
I thought the same thing. I would like to get a job there sweeping the floor <lmao> -
The current political climate has caused extremely high demand on all shooting industry products, including ours. Empty retail shelves, long backorders, and exaggerated price increases on online auction sites – all fueled by rumors and conjecture – have amplified concerns about the availability of ammunition and firearms-related items. If the information you hear doesn’t originate from Hornady Manufacturing, don’t believe it. Here are some of rumors we’ve heard, and questions we’ve received: Have you stopped production, or has the government forced you to stop? Not at all. Did you stop selling bullets so you could only make loaded ammunition? Absolutely not. Since we can’t find your product you must be selling it all to the government. Nope, less than 5% of our sales are to government entities. Why can’t you make more? Ramp up production? Turn on all the machines? We’ve been steadily growing our production for a long time, especially the last five years. We’ve added presses, lathes, CNC equipment, people and space. Many popular items are produced 24 hours a day. Several hundred Hornady employees work overtime every week to produce as much as safely possible. If there is any question about that – please take a tour of the factory. You’ll be amazed at what you see. We are producing as much as we can; much more than last year, which was a lot more than the year before, etc. No one wants to ship more during this time than we do. We appreciate everyone’s understanding and patience. We don’t know when the situation will improve, so please bear with us a little longer. And remember, when it comes to Hornady Manufacturing, if you don’t hear it from us, please don’t believe it.

Police in Wichita, Kan., say two brothers celebrating a $75,000 lottery win by lighting up with drugs on Friday accidentally set off an explosion that blew up their house. The brothers decided to buy marijuana and meth with their lucky fortune from a scratch lottery ticket, police said. One of them went to the kitchen to refuel butane lighters to light their bongs, Sgt. Bruce Watts told The Wichita Eagle. Some of the flammable gas leaked into the air. "The butane vapor reached the pilot light in the furnace, and as you might expect, ka-boom," Watts told the newspaper. "That took care of that celebration real fast, I guess," Mary Jewett, who lives in the same duplex with one of the men, told KWCH-TV. She said the loud boom next door shook her kitchen and her child's bedroom. The explosion sent one of the brothers — a 27-year-old — to the hospital for treatment of second-degree burns, the Eagle reported. The other brother was sent to jail, Watts said. A woman at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital said Monday that the burn victim had been released, but she didn't have further details. Media reports did not identify the brothers by name and no one was available Monday at the Wichita Police Department to provide additional details. Both brothers face charges of drug possession, police told local media.

Colorado Law hearing live - What will happen to Magpul
imschur replied to EasyEJL's topic in General Discussion
Well the Colorado house passed this crap today. Not many hurdles in the way now. -
I ended up ordering a bit of stuff from Natchez, ammo, mags and a few odds and ends. Shipping was $17. Perhaps they have a minimum S&H in place.Thats becoming common. Some caliber ammo had a 1 piece max per day while other calibers were 5 pieces

FWIW I have known microgunner for several years now and I know two things for certain. He knows .22's like nobody else I know and what he's is stating about the Zamak he is being gentle. The household names for Zamak are pot metal and white metal. Think Chinese toys and inexpensive household fixtures.

As I have said on other posts. These liberal politicians really do not care about jobs. They will just tax everbody else more. -
Luckily I spent about 6 months gathering Colt magazines from Brownells. They were not cheap but they are good and I have enough. Im still waiting on the YHM can

What were they thinking? Lets create a cold medicine that helps you sleep that is delivered in a large glass of water at bed time. Anyone else see the issue here?

Olympic Arms not selling to NY LEOs

Look at what CT did. Nearly every major gun company was based here until the past 30 years when the power shift changed here. There was a huge debate about Colt when the CT AWB was being proposed. A few politicians fought to exempt Colt. In the end Colt was banned by name. CT has proved law makers care less about the people affected by the financial side of the argument. NY just proved it as well. Sadly the ass hats who make these decisions are not affected by them. They alienate voters who most of which would not vote for them anyhow. They will just raise taxes on everyone else that works to make up for the shortage. -

I dont see LEO being villified with these proposals. It's about making a point to the policymakers. The hardware manufacturers have very little leverage to fight back with other than relocating and refusing to sell gear. JMHO -

automation - I dabble on the industrial side. Had to battle the boss today. He was horrified to learn that a servo motor I installed in 1999 failed last friday. His horror came at the $3600 price tag for a new one. "Cant you just replace it with a cheap dc motor and drive", "How many horsepower is it .5, .75?" Um it's 3.75 and runs at 5000 rpm 16 hours per day "Can you use an ac motor and drive" yes if we get a vector motor and drive, re wire the cabinet write a new program. All that while Im dealing with a rotten cold
