It's pretty bad when your muzzle brake causes other people at the range to develop a flinch... <laughs> I just look at it the other way, once I can overcome flinching with that particular brake, everything else is a piece of cake! <thumbsup>

I'm neither a soldier nor an officer of the law, and yet I consider myself a sheepdog. In my opinion, the essence of being a sheepdog is not in your profession, but in your character. It's a question of how you will respond when the rights and privileges that you hold dearest come under assault. It's not even a question of whether or not you are law-abiding, it's whether or not you are willing to defend and die for your principles when exercising them becomes contradictory to the law or common approval. I grant that the sheepdog allegory is not a perfect one, but it's close enough to pass the common-sense test, and that's good enough for me.

Let's be realistic here, that's money you could be spending on GUNS!!! :)

I'll get some out here in a couple days. Robo, I didn't order a bolt with my carrier because my barrel I ordered has it's own matched & headspaced bolt. I think I'm going to put the SI bolt carrier in goldilocks, move the Young bolt carrier to frank and add a smaller brake and a chrome silicon flat-wound buffer spring to frank to complete him. After that, I can worry about another build.

I promise you they are shipping! I got an e-mail saying that a batch got overcoated and had to be stripped and re-coated, and mine might be delayed. It got to me on time though, and given that my price was less than what the upper end carriers are now, it's been worth the wait. Hang in there Robo, they'll have your carrier to you soon enough. If not, you can have mine until yours ships.

Yep, sheepherders. Sheepherders are well-educated crooks that exploit the sheep for their nice warm wool, and try to ever increase their dependency on sheepherders. Sheepherders are responsible for slowly trying to do away with the sheepdogs, because sheepdogs can think for themselves, and don't take kindly to the shepherds tendency to make extremely poor decisions in the name of the well-being of the sheep. Sheepherders can't really do much about wolves, because wolves don't care about law and order or the prevalence of common sense, so the duty falls to the sheepdogs to keep them in check. Sheepherders are also notorious for encouraging wolves to thrive and then scratching their heads in bewilderment when the flock gets attacked. There's days worth of material on politi...
