Your wife and kids are certainly welcome to come along. One of my friends is thinking of bringing his little guy, and I'm pondering the possibility of letting two of mine go with me. DNP has brought his kiddo along before, no problems at all.

Just goes to show how rare long-range shooting opportunities are out here... People will literally fly/drive halfway across the country and back, and put up with me for 4 days straight just for the sake of getting to tell about a 500 yard shot without lying. ?

We narrowed it down to the weekends of the 20th and 27th of October. You available for those dates, or one of them specifically? It's going to be 4 days starting on a Thursday. -

I fully back you on the .30-06, it's a fantastic round and a very respectable distance cartridge as well. Wouldn't hesitate to field an '06 for distance for even a second.
