  1. Lol. So I think I'll go milspec on one and do a nice accurate build on the other. I'll post with progress.
  2. Thoughts on CMMG parts? They also offer others. I'm leaning towards this shop since they're veteran owned.
  3. I'm kind of digging this kit, and the upper is already complete. Mostly mil-spec stuff, but it's easy, and I don't need these damnable AR's to distract me from my 1911's anyway. https://www.righttobear.com/Ghost-16-inch-5-56-Rifle-Build-Kit-Burnt-Bronze-p/gf16e14gfr556bb-kit.htm
  4. Nice, thanks Tom. Time to go shopping.
  5. I was doing some inventory and found a couple of stripped lowers in one of the safes, so I guess I'll do a couple of builds. Anyone have an all-in-one lower build kit they've used recently. It's been a minute since I've shopped for any AR parts at all.
  6. +1 -- when I was doing caliber consolidation I sold my XD-40, then re-bought the platform in the XD-9 and XDM-45 Never been a glock fan.
  7. Congratulations sir, nice long run. Tomorrow makes 24 for the wife and I.
  8. I moved it down to Club House
  9. I use one, but not that brand. Thanks for the heads up though. Did you mean to drop this in Bar & Grill?
  10. Basically it says any suppressor made in Texas using strictly materials sourced in Texas is not subject to the NFA limitations/registration. It has to be stamped "Made in Texas". Edit: After re-reading the text, it looks like all this does is allow state agencies to not have to enforce the federal laws. It seems it would still be in violation of federal law if you didn't register one. Hmm......
  11. House Bill 957 by Representative Tom Oliverson has been sent to the Governor for his signature. Sec. 2.052. NOT SUBJECT TO FEDERAL REGULATION. (a) A firearm suppressor that is manufactured in this state and remains in this state is not subject to federal law or federal regulation, including registration, under the authority of the United States Congress to regulate interstate commerce.
  12. Originally the County, 10 miles off the Canadian border. Lived 5 years in Old Town, then moved to Tejas. I'll be in Oxford/Poland in a couple of weeks for my niece's wedding. We also have a place on Schoodic Lake.
  13. Brian, from a fellow Maine-iac, welcome to the forum.

  16. I enjoyed this read, thought you gents might as well. https://www.reddit.com/r/preppers/comments/leg8nl/on_get_home_bags_and_getting_home/ 🤓
  17. Retired, man I wish. Sadly no, at 52 I still have a few years to put in.
  18. I thought I was pretty versed in flashlights, but I've never heard of Elzetta. Can you give me some dimensions or size reference on the lights? Thanks,
  19. Yeah, right on, either way it's always about internal temp. Appreciate the data.
  20. Interesting, that's opposite of what my buddy was telling me, smoke low for about 4-5 hours, then crank it up for 400 for a short time.
  21. Prime rib roast, that's my next new thing, never done one before. Yours looked great.
  22. Pork riblets, and bacon wrapped chicken breasts, and a split chicken
  23. Absolutely, no worries. Post away.
  24. I keep finding stashes of mags still in the wrapper, like a bunch. And I haven't bought a mag in 10 years, at least.
